Still waiting for product, almost 40 days now. Usual BS from HK, and I'm suppose to be a premium customer, right. Buy elsewhere if you don't want the hassle or BS. How would you like to be waiting 40 days with the possibility of never receiving it at all and beginning the investigative process to receive lost or credit after 45 days, you got to be kidding? Shame on you (HK), see how much of my money you get in the future!

Okay I have tricopter with KK2.0 and decided to try this on quadcopter for GPS and RTH. Also got the GPS module with it. This thing comes with no instructions at all. Thanks Hobby King. What am I supposed to do now?

After searching for hours as my telemetry kit would not communicate I found a short on the bottom of the HK2.5 board. RX and RT had to much solder so telemetry was not possible.
Error I got was: NO MAVLINK! on my OSD

I am aware that there are many out there who had gotten themselves a faulty HKPM with the voltage regulator failing. However I'm lucky to have gotten two HKPM that are perfectly fine with using the latest MissionPlanner and Hexcopter v3.1.1(latest as of the time of this review). I've paired it with the NEO-6M GPS module and it rocks! Been fiddling with it all day long. Get the "FPV 433Mhz Radio Telemetry Kit 100mW V1.1" to have live GPS and Data feed to your laptop/computer. Definitely a powerful and superior device over the budget KK2 board. The extra cost is worth it. I had unfortunate crashes while using the KK series due to the lack of failsafe features such as Return to Launch or Alti-Hold in an event of radio cut-off or what-not.

Flashed with ArduCopter 3.01 firmware and it is working great. Unbeatable price and excellent quality. Remember to pair it up with a decent GPS if you want to take advantage of it's waypoint navigation capabilities.

I installed this on my Tricopter. First thing I notice is it take too long to armed, more than 30sec, and after first flight and performed auto tune, Mission Planner suddenly shows "BAD GYRO Health". During inspection I measure the input voltage of the MPU6050 and the voltage coming out of the 3.3V voltage regulator (chip with PSEI mark) and my voltmeter reads 4.8V instead of 3.3V. After replacing the Voltage regulator with AMS1117- 3.3V chip (this is the only 3.3vv regulator I have). The "BAD Gyro Health" Error message disappear and also arming is faster now. My Tri is back on air and after performing auto tune my tricopter is now more stable then ever. My tricopter has an unusual dimenssions. the front arms are 30cm long from center and 150 degrees apart and the tail boom is 38cm long from center. I am a beginner and it took me like 5 days to properly tune this using KK2 but with the APM (HKPilot board) it took me like 30min to bring my tri in the air and another 4min to properly tune it (using Auto Tune). Overall I am very happy with this FC and Arducopter FW specifically and because of the auto tune feature tuning has never been so easy.

Wow, I mean yea it's the most expensive (opensource) board on here but it's definitely worth it. I wasn't expecting setup to be quite so easy as my previous board had lots of pots to adjust which never seemed to be very precise. This however requires about 20-30 minutes calibration connected to the PC and you're away. Couldn't believe how stable it was on first take off. It's just incredible how quickly this technology is moving forward, even in just the last year.
