The kit was well delivered with no damage. When I started up the plane the engine always jammed, after inspection I find out that the ESC was not working well so I replaced it with a Turnigy 18 amps and now the plane is flying stunning.
I use a Zippy 800 ma and I have 105 Watt of power and 9.5 Amps of current draw.
Also had to remove a little foam at the battery compartment to fit in the battery.

Fantastic !!! I thought it'd never fly at first sight !
3S 1000 Zippy, do not launch on full power, it's too powerfull.
8 minutes with 1/3 throttle. Half throttle it climbs vertically.
Great looking.
Definitely not for beginners but a joy to fly !
Love it !!!

Delivered through USPS with no damage. Packaged nice and snug. The Mustang looks great and the added panel lines really add to the scale appearance. The only drawbacks that I could find right away are that there is no option for landing gear, but there are skid plates on the lower section of the fuselage and nose. I found that the battery compartment needed some thinning out in order to accept the 3s. The foam is on the "soft" side, so I used some packaging tape and covered the leading edge of the wings to take the brunt of the grass/weeds that could mark up the foam. A 4 blade propeller would have been nice, as I'm not a scale perfectionist however all P-51's were produced with them. Small details. But for the price I can hardly complain! Maiden flight proved that the battery needed to come forward just a touch. After that... WOW! She flies great, climbs awesome and is fully able to get your heart going. Love this little plane! My flying buddy bought one... so time for some streamer fights!

got the plane. packaging in good condition, opened up and found the horizontal stabilizer cracked on the left.. clearly done during packaging.. all good glued up fine.. i had also got a 30amp esc and a few htx900 servos to replace the 10amp esc and hk servos.. wacked them in, cut some foam away for the 850mAh 3s batt. first flight bit hairy till i got the settings correct, didnt ground it.. few! does fly nice and is very stable. definaly NOT a beginner plane, i had to have it on 50pcnt d/r.. so overall pleased with the way it flies and quality for the price.. but a little more care in the packaging would go a long way.

Awesome warbird !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Running on a 2 cell 850mh and a 8X4 slow fly and can't complain. Flys very slow with minimal tip stall, and if it does, just add power. Has alot of dihedral which does make aleiron rolls difficult at anything under full throttle. Nice to fly, One of my favourite warbirds.

Impossible to flight, plane start rolling left even with CG correct.

This is my fourth plane. I started with the Champ, then went for a Glider Walrus, and then one Cessna scale. But unfortunately I had bad lucky with this one. My plane came perfect, I mean box, everything. Then I saw the ailerons misaligned, I tried everything to fix it. I found the CG, put the ailerons aligned, and made a maiden flight with very difficulty. The plane dips to the left with a lot of speed, I even throwing upwards. My luck was that I was in a kind of mountain and I had time to managed and recover. I put the new landing gear and went to an asphalt track and the surprise: he continued rolling left, even when I put almost all aileron to the right.

As I wrote, I think it was bad luck and bought a plane with production error. I can't blame Hobby King for it.

It is probably a tiny bit pricey for a 3ch foamie, but it looks awesome, and its really portable, so i bought it regardless.

its super easy to put together, only downside is the undersizing of the ESC.. you NEED to upgrade it, I used the stock one for a warmup and it was hot and fizzing when i finished. - recommend 20A (fitting it is a bit of a pain, need to pull the whole front apart to get to the plugs)

i had to remove a load of foam to fit my battery in, works a treat to poke a hot soldering iron down there (I do it all the time, but undertake that at your own risk)..

Make sure you set your COG really far forward.. like.. front edge of the wing.. these like to fly nose heavy.. - so buy extra props (7x6E) because you'll break them (you have to land a little faster - the stock one is pretty crap too)

Its horrible to fly in the wind... so make sure its a calm day.

Its LOADS of fun to fly when its calm. And if you're a rebel street flyer.. this is what you want, it holds a line perfectly, and you'll be dodging cars in no time..

probably not the best plane for a beginner.

The product is very well made. It's beautifull.
The only problem is the magnets used to fit the cokpit. Its so strong that eventually breaks the styrofoam that was glued.
And may cause some difficult to connect the ESC in the motor wires.

Overall, that's the best product purchased here.

Very nice plane! The details on this plane are pretty good, and it is well built. The quality of the foam is not very good, it damages quite easily. Be sure to cover the leading edges and the bottom of the plane with packing tape, to prevent the foam of getting damaged from belly landings.
I fly this one on 2S 1600Mah`s, had to carve some foam out to make the battery`s fit. With an AUW of 363gr on 2S, this plane is not very fast, but it fly`s very well! Already had a lot of fun with it, and it is a great value for money. I will certainly recommend this plane to anyone who has a bit of flying experience.

Wow, what a nice plane. Flies on rails, does a pretty good job at half throttle. You do find yourself grabbing rudder stick a bit, but that's not an issue, just a habit. Vertical performance with the 3 cell is amazing for a little park flyer. The plane launches well if you start with 2/3 throttle and landings are pretty easy too. Stalls are P51 Mustang type... plenty of warning with tail bobs and wing drops, easy to recover if you add power and level everything.
Complaints? Very soft foam, easy to dent and the trailing edges of the tail and other surfaces are so very easy to dent and deform. They are thin. This is the one plane I have that really seems to find ways to have hangar rash. If it were in EPO foam, something a little harder, rather than cooler box foam it would be excellent. Seems odd that they couldn't just use a different mix of foam material in the molds and have a better product. What's the difference in expense? A couple of pennies per unit?
