    HobbyKing has come out with a huge new range of 3D Printer Filaments at prices that will have you printing all day and all night.

     

    The range covers PLA, ABS, Flexible, Color Changing, Luminous, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Acetal (POM), Metal Composite and even a water-soluble filament for printing molds. So there is a filament for every project you have in mind. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

     

    PLA:

    PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high-resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when subjected to flexing, impact or torsional loads so the mechanical needs of the print project need to be evaluated.

     

    PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short, a great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl-free print.

     

    3D printing is a fun and exciting hobby with a wide range of uses from prototyping parts to making toys for the kids. Picking the right filament for your application is very important.

    Excellent PLA filament

    I love this filament. Prints are looking great, I like the translucent orange and I have zero issues printing with it. It's very flexible too! I had bought more expensive filament in the past which wasn't as flexible and would occasionally break during printing (even with proper guidance).
    So I can absolutely advise buying this! I print it at 210C too with my self-built i3 clone and it's a great printing experience so far.

    This filament really prints well, and the tranparent orange look is different to the normaly used opaque filament types...
    Prints well on my Tronxy X5S, printed with 195 degrees centigrade.

    Quality 3D Filament

    This was the first filament I chose to use with my Original Prusa i3 MK3S. It performed flawlessly and produced a quality test 3D object. I like the translucent property that permits viewing the underlying support structure. I look forward to using more Hobby King filament!
