Works perfect with turnigy 1811 motor! and no programming for standard plane. just plug in and go. Im not even sure if the brake is on or off on mine. I just fly it! slows the motor down to about 25pcnt when the battery gets low. just enough to get it to the ground safely

Great esc. Nothing is wrong with it. So why the 3 stars? The god damn esc shut down on me when flying in the sky! Motors shut down. It resetted. I would have gave it 1 star, but I manage to glide my plane down in one piece. So why did it shut down? Cause it's got crappy power management. You NEED a capacitor to plug into a spare channel to prevent esc shutdown (happens when moving more than 2 servos) I am using mini servos (the one for the radjet420, little power consumption). Make sure you buy a capacitor for this when buying this ESC. Test your motor and esc at the same time. Trust me, you'll thank me later when your plane is still in one piece.

While binding my OrangeRx, the servos are pushed to their limits. This causes enough strain on the ESC to get it really hot so you have to bind it fast. I don't know if it's hot enough to cause damage, but I'd bind fast just to make sure.

I have one of these that seems to reverse its direction randomly. I've had it happen three times now. I didn't use bullets to save on weight (and cause I didn't have any at the time) and soldered them straight in. Tested plane, it worked. A few weeks later, went to fly and it was reversed. Went home, swapped the wires and came back next day. Plane flew fine. Landed, swapped battery, bound to different Tx. Motor reversed again. I was pissed.

I have bought 6 of these and had one fail and one randomly reverses. Otherwise, the performance of the others is great. I may get a different micro ESC next time I need one.

Bought 2 of these ESCs for my indoor MXS and Saturn kits. Connected to supplied engine. No issues with programing and ESC handled full throttle with ease, only got slightly warm after use (12 min flight). Would buy again, thanks HK.
