Using this ESC with a turnigy sensored 13.5t motor in my sakura D4 and it is brilliant, if anything it is too much power for drifting, i only have the throttle end point set to 40pcnt on my transmitter and all the timing and launch speed turned down and turbo turned off in the programming. i even remoed the fan as it just did not need it as it never even gets luke warm even after 2 hours constant drifting. also programing could not be any easier using the usb adapter with software, BTW here is a direct link for anyone trying to find the software.(http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uploads/69513188X1770622X28.zip).I have several XCAR ESC ( 60A, 80A and 120A version). I use in all esc hobbywing firmware and works perfect. Super smooth start and simple programing ( i use usb pc programmer) . I install 80A esc in RC10 B4 2WD buggy with 8.5t sensored motor and no FAN in ESC ( i removed it). ESC only get warm. Motor stay cold before 30 minutes running with one 5000mah 2S Lipo.great and ship !! take it.Works perfectGreat little esc. I bought this esc as a test to see how "cheap" I can go when it comes to racing on a budget. This esc is great if you are starting out in racing and don't want to spend a lot of money. Just don't think you have a product that compares to an LRP, Tekin or Orion esc, but it's still good value for money.I have a standard 60Amp esc and with all the upgrades I did. I needed the 80Amp esc to handle the juice.I have bought 4 of these ESCs to go into mine and friends cars (all Tamiya TA02 1/10th chassis). Each has been used with a Turnigy Trackstar 3000kV motor like this
This combination works very well and is geared to give approx 30mph with a 3S lipo. Although 80Amp is probably overkill for my application the price and the size make it a good buy.
When used with the USB programming adaptor, setup is very easy with a good array of options including acceleration and braking profiles, drag braking, low voltage cut off, reverse speed and overheat protection.
The double tap break was initially a bit temperamental and did not behave as expected but after updating the ESC firmware it works much better and I now have extra timing options available in the USB link software.
I am currently using Hobywing USB Link V3.3 software (can be found on their website) and I have updated the ESC firmware to V3.0_110930_MOD. For reference ESC hardware revision is listed as HW427_V1.0.
All 4 of the ESCs and motors I have bought worked with no issues and accepted all updates with no issues. Overall very good value for money and highly recommended.

Very good,. This ESC is combined with Turnigy Trackstar 9T on Tamiya TT01 and it's perfect. My car is very fast know ( may be a little too fast ). I'm running on 3S 2650 30C, my batterie is little swollen but it has 4 years... so i'm not worry
Great controller! Use on a road car model, completely satisfied! In the settings there is a caveat, the seventh paragraph should be put in the first position and will be reverse gear!ok so i got this esc as it was nice and cheap and my car that in was going in tends to get wet. i also needed an esc that is sensored for the low speed control it offers.
So i got this and Turnigy TrackStar 21.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 1855KV
first of all there is no connectors pre soldered on, ok not a problem. the wires on this esc are all nice 14awg wires, easy to solder.
i had a xcar programme card lying round, an old one so i plugged that in hoping for the best but it just stays at "read", oh well no loss. the esc currently has no manual in the files tab and it does not come with one so i went to the 60amp esc and followed the programming instructions in there. nice and easy to programme!
on start up the fan on the esc takes about 30 seconds to wind up to full speed, not unusual and a nice feature. when handling the esc be careful not to squash the fan shroud because it can push into the fan.
so out using this esc it is super nice i have it in "crawler mode" with full drag brake. not once has it gave a hesitation or a jerk it is nice and smooth, goes nice, stops well, reverse is instantaneous and for me it never even got warm before my dodgie drive-shaft popped and brought my drive to an end
great product, will buy more and highly recomend!
