DO NOT USE CA GLUE! WILL DISSOLVE THE FOAM!
Got in my Coota today from the USA warehouse. Use the supplied epoxy which is actually a type of rubber epoxy. It came within 5 days. Packed very well, nothing broken or missing. Downloaded the manuel under the files tab. No problem putting it together. All the servos worked as did the motor and ESC as far as putting in the receiver and binding it and setting everything. The epoxy does dry within 3 minutes but let set up a while. The CG is from the leading edge of the wing, 25-35mm. I'm using the Rhino 1750mah 20C 7.4v and it seems to be right on with the CG. and that's without the steel weight in the nose. Had to reglue a couple of the magnets, no biggy. Have not maidened it yet, maybe this weekend if the winds will die down to at least to an F1! I think it will be a fun plane to fly on land or water. It does not steer on land but neither does my HK Dolphin EDF which is also a blast. Thanks again HK!

Received the Coota three days ago, and had a first maiden flight. The plane flys great, has plenty of power and had great lift characteristics. However, the esc heats up quite a bit, and the motor is a bit shifty... As they say you get what you pay for. As for water flights, i have only had two flights. I was too nervous to take off the water, so I hand launched the aircraft, and decided to land in the water, the whole flight was amazing, and the landing was a spectacular sight. However as i said... you get what you pay for, the esc after that flight was extremely hot along with my 2 cell 7.4v 1700Mah battery, water had crept it has way into the canopy, however it wasn't an excessive amount. In conclusion i would recommend this product for someone who is looking to try out an amphibious aircraft, if you are looking to use this aircraft as a fpv platform, I would highly recommend changing all electronics as you cant rely on the included cheap electronics.

Very good plane. I removed the weight that comes for the front and have used a heavier battery. Flies very well, no problem taking off from water and it can take a beating. Definitely one of my most used models due to the ease of take off from any surface.

Hello the coota was my first EPS foam plane, it was easy to fly till it lost power, it does not glide without power, just falls out of the sky, that was the end of it, I could have repaired it but I'm not prepared to fly a plane that won't glide.

owned 2 of these planes over the last few years.

set up is stock

Run off 1500/1800 ma 3s no problems.

Times are about 10 minutes and still has battery left

Easy to fix if you do bang it.

Tip is put wax of some kind on the plastic bittom as it slides easier.

Just to let all you good people some info, on this model. I have just bought one, and it arrived today. Now there is a lot of views on the speed controller etc burning out early. Even as little as 5 flights. Well, having taken the balloon off the esc to check it. Guess what, they are selling it with a 10 amp speed controller installed not a 20 amp as per the sales listing. This is why they are burning out early. Also no instructions at all, or mention of where the c of g should be. Some people take out the 70 gram weight in the nose, so they can use a 2200mah battery. Which balances well. Not tried that, but if you are going to buy one, please check your esc, as it may end up a crashed model if it goes down and stops sending the power to the servos via rx !!! Also, no instructions in the box or on site under files. not good HK.

Mine arrived today. Package box was outwardly ok on a quick visual inspection but upon opening, one corner was slightly bent inward, precisely where the tail unit nestles. Result: a warped and dented rudder/vertical tail and deformed left stabilator making the plane unflyable. I'll try to fix the damage with hot water unless a whole new tail unit is available as spare part...

Quality is good. Only thing is the elevator travel is highly restricted due to flexing of the rod.
I have tried this plane with a 2s and it struggled with the take-off.
Now i use a 3s 1000mah and only use the extra power for take-off. ( Not to overload the ESC)

I have had trouble with servo's giving max deflection and flipping the plane over and thus resulting in a crash.

Landing can be tricky since when you reduce power for landing also make sure to use a little down elevator.

There is a weight in the nose you can remove for better CG.

All in all a nice plane but I would not recommend it for beginners.
