I have two of these. First was built a little "fat" at 7.1oz. Flies really well with the supplied motor/prop, 10A plush ESC HTX500 servos Zippy 2S 500mAh. Was a little surprised at the roll rate as it seemed a little slow.
Built the 2nd. Bit more care and came out just under 7oz with twin aileron servos. Same gear but used HKSCM9-6 servos. Wow what a difference these servos make. Great response, a little more throw and even the roll rate is ballistic. Fill in the battery slot and ends up much stronger.
These planes are just awesome . Learnt a lot on the way - getting the pushrods the correct length was interesting. A few good vids on the net helps.
My first RC plane and great to learn from. Easy to get out of trouble and crash repairs just some CA and done. Just get one...... :)

Nice flying and good for indoor use in winter time. takes some hours to build it up, but gives lots of fun. Recommendedd product.

Great little slow fly plane for tight quarter s a good add to the hanger . This plane is really a nice bird I haven't got in yet but I've flown 6 or 7 of the same

HobbyKing Tristania-EPP
This is a great product for a great price.
I really love the Tristania. It is perfect for prop-hanging and acrobatics of all kinds.

When I got the Tristania, I was impressed about the high prefabrication level. Everything was cut out perfectly and everything you need was in the well-packed box in which the Tristania arrived. I built the whole model, with the motor that came with it and I had no problems after all.

Then I tested the Tristania for the first time and it was amzing. This light airplane flies so sitff and well. From the first moment I felt like having all the controll over the model. Prop-hanging is the most fun part. It is really simple with the Tristania and easy to learn. She acts like a helicopter :D

Every other 3D i tried with this model went well to, but one time I crashed in the sports hall I fly and my landing gear broke. But I easily replaced it with some carbon fiber bars, so it never broke again.

I can only recommend this model to everybody. Buy it!!!

This is my first 3d plane. It took me about 6 hours to build. It flys very nice! I can hover and fly very slow. I would recommend it. I have 500mAh and a 800mAh batteries. It fly very quick and light with the 500 with about 4 min flight times. I prefer to fly with the 800 and get 10min flight times doing some 3d and normal flight.

modele simple en epp. ideal pour les debutants en indoor. rarement casser ! je conseil d'utilise un pistolet a colle chaude, cela colle fort et vite. la souplesse de la colle permet beaucoup de crash ! 10gr de colle pour tout un avion et sans mauvaise surprise !

Adorable Plane !! It's my first 3d and amazed me!!! Althought i'm a rookie, after lots of hours on simulation, i can handle it!! It's very easy to fly and with a sf prop it's very safe!!! A little bit tricky to asemble but not hard!! i like it a lot and i suggest it blind-folded!!!!

As first assembled airplane, it is very nice and cheap!
Needs a lot of CA glue to assembly, but in 4-5 hours (I'm a beginner) you can have a nice airplane.
It does not fly so fast, so it is a nice choise as first airplane.
the front part is not very robust, but it can be repaired with some light material.
with a bit exercise it can do lots of funny flights.

I have been flying this Foamy for months! Reading the previous questions, and coments, I have my own opinion.

The included motor is amazing. Mine has been gaining weight, and for fun I added a 3 Axis gyro for the kids, and it weighs 8oz now. I still have unlimted vertical performance at 8oz!!!

The airframe is rigid, and durability is nothing less than exceptional. If you have a small tare, or you break a piece, a simple hot glue repair is all that is needed. How can ask for anything better than that.

The only Item I have to identify, and it might be just on mine for some reason, The roll rate is very slow at full deflection of the Ailerons. Does not stop me from flying, but I would like it a little faster.



Great plane. If you are thinking of buying this one, don't wait. It is a high performance airplane.
