Il telaio Hobbyking® ™ Y4 Scorpion Micro multi-rotore è un telaio in fibra di vetro di alta qualità che offre sia i grandi sguardi e le prestazioni. Costruito dal peso leggero ma in fibra di vetro e carbonio estremamente rigida, la Y4 offre una grande combinazione di leggerezza e resistenza.

Lo stile Y4 Scorpione lo fa apparire più simile a una creatura mortale di una struttura multi-rotore, pur offrendo eccellenti funzionalità e le prestazioni! Lo Scorpione è inoltre fornito con 4 x 2900kv Brushless Outrunner I motori che si adattano perfettamente a questa cornice, aiutando prendere la congettura del gruppo motopropulsore.

Questo telaio multi-rotore è progettato per essere utilizzato nella configurazione "Y-4" utilizzando 4 motori (2 montati nella parte anteriore, 1 su entrambi braccio e 2 montati nella parte posteriore per imbardata e controllo ascensore), offriamo anche una linea completa di elettronica multi-rotore come la scheda di controllo, ESC, batterie e altro ancora, in modo che non è mai stato più facile o più conveniente per ottenere un multi-rotore in aria!

Nice little copter. Took me about 20 minutes to assemble the frame. The instructions are a little blurred, so it was kind of difficult to tell which parts you needed, because several are similar in size. Also, make sure you glue the tale AFTER you mount the motors to it. If you glue it first, then you won't be able to get the screws in. ALSO, it doesn't come with screws for the motors. The motors need 2mm adapters for propellers. The overall construction is good. Some parts are a bit tight, and hard to get all the way together. The frame is pretty solid after you get it together. The regular kk2.1 is too big for this little frame. I would go with the kk mini, or naze32, or equivalent in size flight controller. There is not much room for electronics on the body.

Flight review!

First off, no CG indicated in the skimpy plans! I used a ballpark from the position of the big brother (Y650 Scorpion).

It flies fairly nicely. Because of its size and weight, handles hard landings (crashes ;-) very nicely - nothing broken. Also due to its weight, it's VERY responsive. by the time you desensitize the gyros to where they're not oscillating you don't really have a "hands off" hover and always have to keep the corrections up.

If there's anything negative - and this will take more testing to try to work out what's happening - it's that the rudder seems almost ineffective. Just doesn't want to yaw. I did notice that one of the 2 motors on the back stops sooner than the other 3, it's possible it's not spinning as fast - not enough torque to yaw the little thing.

By the way, I'm using the Atmega 328 PA V3 board. Kind of large but was left over after I replaced the board on the 650 Scorpion (with the LCD one). If you use this board, don't flash the most current version of firmware, use the next one down (4.5 I think). The most current one doesn't work.
