Beh, non sappiamo neanche, ma il Dipartimento Funzione ™ Skipper appena ricevuto più grande!

Proprio come il suo fratello più piccolo, la Skipper XL è in grado di operare da qualsiasi superficie compresa l'acqua, ghiaccio, neve, erba e di più, il che rende un modello incredibilmente versatile. Con il suo sistema di alimentazione brushless ala super basso carico e ad alte prestazioni la Skipper XL è uno spasso assoluto a volare!

Il sistema di potenza installata (versione PNF) fornisce una potenza più che sufficiente per l'acqua o erba decolli e fornisce prestazioni verticale illimitata. Le grandi superfici di controllo danno grande autorità di controllo e fare per un inviluppo di volo ampio.

Se ci si trova bloccati contro la banca o tra le canne durante il funzionamento a carico acqua, quindi non c'è bisogno di raggiungere per la linea di polo o la pesca per il recupero, basta usare la funzione di inversione selezionabile AUX canale integrato nel 40 Amp ESC.

Modellato schiuma ultra-resistente EPO, il modello è leggero e resistente. Le due metà dell'ala sono uniti attraverso la fusoliera con longheroni in fibra di carbonio doppia forniscono un'ottima rigidità. La fusoliera dello skipper ha un fondo piatto per una facile decolli da qualsiasi superficie e dispone di un passo idrodinamica per consentire una facile movimentazione dell'acqua.

Un grande, la copertura della cabina di guida rimovibile dà fantastico accesso al vano in avanti per le batterie, ecc e ha una tettoia trasparente per un aspetto semi-scala. Questa copertura della cabina di guida può essere sostituito da un'alternativa, progettato su misura piattaforma di compensato attrezzature FPV (vedi articoli correlati) per trasformare rapidamente il vostro Skipper XL in un veicolo FPV all-terrain.

I wouldn't buy it again if Quality would not be better

During unboxing it could be noted that rudder blade was not on its place at fuselage. It lay broken in the package. Plug and fly does not match. Small nylon hinges could be set.
Additionally I had some problems with the decals. They were not cuttet correctly. I was not able to applicate that ones because you could not deallocate the several parts. Resulting I had to through it away. The Canopy must be glued.
Further the engine bracked is not stiff enough. It bends during flight resulting in a tumbling flight in roll and gear axes. I had to laminate the complete rear fuselage with 80g/m² fiber. After that it was a likttle bit better because I installt a wing gyro too.
Positivs: 3s 2200mAh setup is enough. Fligh time up to 8min and longer could be reached.
To land the Skipper XL slowly you need the full elevator amplitude. If you use only 15mm gliding angle is flat with a relatively high speed. You would need a runway of 50m to land. At 31mm amplitude you will be able to land near your feeds.

Good plane, faulty decals

Hi,
I recently acquired this plane. The model came OK, no damages to the foam, with all accessories, but with uncut stickers. Now I have to do a tedious process of cutting each sticker manually (as opposed to the computer cutting machine that does it in the factory). I think that as a platinum customer I would be happy if HK sends me a new set of stickers, but which are completely cut and ready to be put on the model. What do you think HK, do I deserve this little help from you? I think I do.

I managed to purchase his plane in the sale but to be honest after flying her i would buy another at full price, she flies amazing, great fun, very nimble and the motor is very quiet, she just swooshes past...highly recommend this plane and taking off from water is great, works well on land and water, great plane

EN: Same, my motor comes to a completed stop, for revers fonction, This ESC was burned...
no skipper part sell on hobbyking.
if i broke a wing, I must buy a complete skipperX 170...

FR: L'esc vendu est vraiment pourris il a brler au moment ou j'active la fonction inverse alors que le moteur tait l'arrt complet.
Aucune pices dtach est vendu en cas de casse d'aile par exemple ou autres, contrairement au Bixler ou Tundra de chez HK. du la moindre casse, l'appareil deviens inutilisable et l'on est oblig de le racheter complet 170 pour revoler.

(sinon il vol bien, mais trs vite)

overall a good flying 'amphibious' delta plane . If you put a stiffer propeller on it the thrust is greatly improved. Plenty of power on 3s to get off water and smooth ground. I am disappointed that hobbyking did not take the extra time and cost to put hinges in on rudder. The foam hinge easily rips off taxing on ground and this just unnecessary rebuild time when I prefer to be flying more. @nd I wish they had built another hatch or bigger hatch ontop to so I can put a Flight controller or Autopilot in much easier. Far too tight. We would have gladly paid the extra money to not have to deal with these issues. But not problems. Plane flies great...it being a delta wing I would suggest using rudder alot more than aileron to curve nice turns without dropping too much altitude. I added 35pcnt rudder reduce the throws to about 60pcnt for cruising. Use full rates for water taxiing as it has not water rudder. Flies great on 3S 2200mAh or 4S. I will try with a 3S 2800mAh next and get some fpv gear on it.

Well, I received this model yesterday (28/01). It is a lot larger than I expected, mostly EPO, but looks to be strong/robust. I had concerns about the strength of the tail (with a motor) built into it. I now see that it is strengthened/supported with what appears to be a piece of ply, that runs down the middle of the tail into the fuselage. There is ample room for a 4S, although I think (based on weight) that a 3S will suffice. Servo's included were 9g 'Turnigy' and 40 Amp ESC. I took off 1 x point for the quality of the decals provided with this model, which also affects the overall price. Overall, a nice looking model that I am looking forward to flying, thanks again HK!

I love this plane it is awesome and very FAST!! on 4s setup. I started with 2200m 4s and was curious about larger battery and I put in a 4s 5000m and it flew like a champ had to fit the battery all the way back to the first carbon spare. Tends to be nose heavy

A great plane to fly. However, the model tends to lose a lot of height in turns and to combat that I have increased the cord of the elevator by 10mm, moved the C/G forward 12mm and lifted both ailerons up 3mm at the trailing edge and this makes the aircraft much more pleasant to fly. It holds its height in turns and touch and go off water is much more predictable.
I have also covered the entire model in lightweight glass cloth.
