This is a great little controller for addressable WB2812 type boards. I'm using a DIATONE SW604 2812 LED Board, with this and it kicks. The instructions were not helpful, but what I can gather is to change modes you press and hold the mode button for 2 to 3 seconds, that allows you to change the light pattern with the "+" and "-" buttons, press and hold the mode button for 2 to 3 seconds, again, with the "+" and "-" buttons, and it changes the speed of that pattern. There seems to be a good variety of patterns, maybe 50 or more, probably something for everyone, different colors, movements, etc., there's a lot here. DEFINITELY much more variety than you would get using your flight controller to control a LED board. I use this with a larger multirotor for orientation and I have a white pulsating pattern over back lite blue, and it is very easy to see at long distance. I would recommend this controller.
