I bought this motor with a Trackstar 18A ESC. When the receiver goes into fail safe, the engine starts turning despite programming the ESC numerous times.

The motor does pack a huge punch in my Mini Inferno.

Could use a more standard size for a pinion.

insane motor on the 118B truck! a little less top speed than the stock motor but very smooth response. is still flies over the ground. the stock motor on the 118B is 5500KV

Very powerful engine, perfect for cars 1/16, serves up the Turnigy SCT and variations with slight modification to the engine mount, just open the center hole alignment engine, exceptional.

I bought 2 of theese motors as a part of a restoration project for my vintage Kyosho Casablanca outboard. Im having cogging problems with both of my motors. I'm trying to run them with a HobbyKing Brushless Car ESC 30A w/ Reverse - Code HK-30A bought here.

I cant imagine that both my motors are damaged from start, so what am I doing wrong? Tried to connect them with the ESC in every way but still just cogging! Anyone any ideas?

Please help.

That is good solution for RC18 cars. But I don't recommend to use 2 cell LiPo batteries. My motors heat to much on it. Better to use NiMH 5 cell batteries. Best RPM for this motor around 40000.

Hi, I bought this for my 1/12 conversion of a RC18T and even pulling a bit more weight than a regular RC18T, has plenty of torque and top speed. I'm running a Ezrun 25A ESC and a Lightmax 7.4v 2200mAh 40c lipo.

I put this into a little 1/18 truck and it screams. I have another 1/18 RC18T with an orion modified (brushed) and this cheap brushless can keep up and would be faster with higher gearing (which it could handle but the brushed could not). A really good purchase - I'm glad I bought it.
