Motor mounted in a Hanger 9 Fokker D-VII. Turning a 17x12E APC with 8S, 4000mha pack. Motor pulls 870w at 5300rpm and flys the plane very well. Not too fast and has scale performance. Other test values with different props:

16x12E 800w 5500rpm

15x13E 660w 5700rpm

17x10 750w 5600rpm

18x10 880w 5400rpm



I suspect that the suggested 19x12 prop will pull close to 1200w with 8S, not so sure I'd use 10S with that prop.

Great motor for my 26pcnt Peak MXS-R. With 2x5s3000 Zippies and a 20x10 JXF it pulls about 52A. Almost 2kW!. It runs a bit warn/hot, must add some baffles for better cooling. Only issues so far are:
1. A bit sloppy bearings, replaced with ceramic Abec7.
2. Stator came loose, strange noise after landing. Re-glued with 24h epoxy. Works fine now. Might be due to overtemp....

This is one is equvilent to AXI5320/34. Would whish for a bit more powerfull motor, but the a63-20L and 24L is are bit too heavy. A "a63-24M" (i.e. an AXI 5325/24 clone) would have been perfect.
Please HK, offer something inbetween S and L.

I bought this for my Hangar 9 Sopwith Camel which needs the noseweight. On 8S it spins an 18" propeller fast enough to fly the Camel comfortably. The motor is cool after landing but I don't remember how much current it drew. I get almost 40 minutes duration with a 8S 5000 mAh battery.



My motor has surface rust on the shaft but that doesn't matter. It's fantastic value for the money.

Great Motor for 20" props

This is a great motor but I have a couple of small complaints. Firstly, it is heavier than the specified 460g. It weighs 535g on its own, and 680g with all of its accessories. Secondly, I had to file a couple of grooves out of the flange mounted prop adaptor to clear the grub screws. Otherwise, once I got it running it was a great performer!



On 6S LiPo cells, with a 20x13 electric prop, it pulled 3,570g using 810W of power.
