FEB 2016: Bought these for a new project and they DON'T WORK AT ALL. NO FLASH, NO LIGHT!!! Applies to RED, GREEN & BLUE versions.

-Have purchased an earlier version that were amazingly bright. After a long period of not being available they were back in stock, bought a new set & tested as son as they arrived. To my disappointment none of them worked. Tried several different batteries & servo testers without success. Then I got one of the old ones out and it still worked perfectly.

Inspection of the PCB components showed a different IC and different passive components placed on a PCB with the same layout positions as the original version. An oscilloscope also showed the pulses that drive the LED were nowhere sufficient (as compared to the previous version) to drive the LED.

Very unfortunate! Started RMA process because Hobbyking needs to test the product before they ship. All of these came with a very spiffy looking holographic sticker with "QC5" printed it.??? Shows there is not integrity or ethical consideration for products coming out of hobbyking CHeap suppliers.

Excellent product. A little pricy but works very well. Super bright strobe. Can be controlled by switch on controller. I would get more if these arn't always backordered!!

They work fine. I didn't find it to be bright enough in the daylight...at least not the green. I haven't tried the other colors.

These green strobes are very effective. Tge ability to switch them off via a TX channel makes them perfect for warbird applications.

very bright LED strobe if you look into light it has a blinding effect so you see the green blink in day time as well not just at night time you plug it into receiver on spare channel and assign a switch to that channel and you just switch it on and off

I bought a red and a green strobe for a plane. I also bought the 1.5watt 12 volt white corn light.

I connected them via a balance tap, so I can get both 4.2 and 12.6 volts. They are wired with very light (under 26 guage) wire and I soldered them instead of using the jr/ futaba plugs.

I have not tried flying yet but they work in the shop pretty well so far. I soldered the connectors because I think with the voltage being so low the continuity would fail otherwise, and you would need to wiggle the plugs, which is difficult if they are buried in the wings.

to repeat, I am not plugging them into a receiver, but directly to the battery balance tap, with 1 cell for the green and red strobes and three for the corn 12 volt "landing light."

Otimos estes leds, perfeitos para utilizar como luz de navegacao, melhor se pudessem ser ativados por um canal do radio, mas mesmo assim dao um otimo efeito. Recomendo.
