OK, I have been flying R/C since 1979. I have flown dozens of corsair kits, arf's and scale warbirds. First, lets remember what this is. It is a scale model of a fighter aircraft from WW2. NOT a 3D unlimited aerobatic model. With that said, here is my review of this HK model. First, it arrived well packed in perfect condition! I installed the 500Mah 2s li-po battery along with a GWS 6 ch micro Rx (YES, on 72 mhz) set it up with my Futaba 9CAP transmitter, and took it to work to test fly. (I work at the local municipal airport-aviation mechanic) winds were 5 mph or less. Take-off was a scale event with a modest run and good climb out. The model performs as it should. rolls, loops, etc, all done with the usual set up you use when flying a scale model. no surprises here. Landings are typical for a scale model with the wing loading this plane has. Remember its heavy, modestly powered, and WILL stall! So, power on approaches and landings are the rule. Overall, I LIKE it!! I don't recommend it for someone with low time model experience. It is a intermediate level model. The scale detail is exceptional, and flight performance is not disappointing at all. If there is only one thing I would think needs to be addressed. It would be that non steerable tail wheel. On landing roll out you loose rudder effectivity and it's gonna go where it wants.. This was my first

I was planing on upgrading the plane due to previous reviews but soon found that they gave Me the wrong ESC so Now I have to pay for that to. The one I received has an extra set of wires to hook a separate set of batteries ... as in NO BEC as advertised and the plane is WAY TO SMALL to even think about adding more batteries. I did pull all the landing gear & the heavy metal weight behind the motor cowl. I think with My bell motor and a 18 amp ESC/BEC it will scream and I'm hoping for enough power to pull up and hover land it. Unless Your experienced I would advise a high wing slow flyer. Happy Flying!.

Don't buy this plane unless you are looking for something just to sit on a shelf because it looks nice. This is about as PNF as a brick.

Don't waste your money. Could not get it airborne. Tried hand launching and it went straight in the ground.

This plane is very interesting. It flies well out of the box if you use a bigger battery. I was using a 1000mah 2s and it was a little noseheavy which was good for me. Flying it is a different story. It flies great but for some reason it likes to go inverted and go into a nosedive. I was using full throttle and never made it go slower because it'll stall. I had my DR set at 30 and expo set at 20. So it's not like it was getting big movements in ailerons, elevator or rudder. This is my first low wing plane and while I understand that could have contributed to it I don't understand why it'd just invert and nose dive in a shallow turn. It might have been tip stall I don't know but like I said it was at full throttle the entire time. I'm not a fan of this plane at all. I should have stuck with FMS and gotten the 800mm for the same price. If you can do that.

On forums people have to basically change everything about the plane to get it to fly correctly. Make the horizontal stab not be positive. Change the motor or a smaller prop to use on 3s so it isn't under powered. The foam is really heavy. I think it ways more than a super cub with batteries in it. No joke. I'd never buy another FlyFly model again.

Recap of flying opinion !!!!! Well Finally got the plane balanced (Took a 3s 500mah battery and 4 oz in the nose)and flew real well with a 3 cell battery. Damn fast actually. Had a mishap and broke the prop. As with most other things here at Hobby King, no spare parts avaiable !!!!!! Now I guess I just put it on the pile with other planes from Hobby King that I can't get parts for !!!!! What a Bitch !!!!!!!!!!!! I love the prices and products but Hobby King is going to have to start offering spares for their products !!!!!!!!

Bad choice ! Very under powered with a 2 cell battery. A 3 cell battery will get it in the air but after that it is very difficult to fly. Very heavy for it's size and needs more nose weight to meet it's CG. I wish I had not purchased this plane !!!!!
