The appearence of this model is beautiful. But in mine model there was some problem. THE WING WAS CURVED LIKE A BANANA (Yes the yellow fruit). I had to put the wing under some books ad warm it with a hair dryer to make it plane.

The lipo suggested was a 850 mah, but on the manual they suggest at least a 950mah 3S. whit this lipo you can flight for 3-4 minutes at full throttle.

The battery slot is small and a 800 mah doesn't fit. but the 1000mah are bigger but slimmer, so they fit better under canopy.

The CG is wrong as shown in the maual. it should be more or less 2cm backward the suggested position to habe a balanced model.

after 4-5 flight and a long trim, this model fly ver well and make you happy.

If you want a model plug and play this may not be your right choice. if you some time to spend on it, it will give you a lot of fun.

It's my first EDF jet so I have nothing similar to compare it to.
With the stock components, takeoffs are difficult: throw it HARD with FULL POWER with a slight downward trajectory, then be fast on the elevators. Otherwise it just stalls.
After that it builds up speed and no worries.
It's faster and more maneuverable than what I'm used to so I've crashed it a lot. Good thing its a strong design.
Recommends:
- add around 1 1/2 ounces to the nose (stock config very tail heavy)
- add carbon fiber or similar tubes to the aileron push rods for strength and rigidity
- buy the accessories kit. You can build another complete airframe with it.
That's it for now. Anyone have suggestions for beefing up the power for this model?

It is a sturdy little guy! It survived my first few failed launch attempts (needs to be thrown hard and level at full power) I have flown it for about 3 years now bone stock with a 900mAh 3 cell and a bit of nose weight. The CG need to be done properly per the instructions (maybe even a little more forward than the 107mm) gonna fly it again with my boys tomorrow!!

Howdy Pilots, the first thing I will say about this little gem is get one. It has become my favourite jet and I have been having a ball dogfighting with my buddy. It is the most stable and reliable plane I have flown and I use a 100mAh 20c battery which is perfect for CG. This thing is very forgiving if you do happen to run out of sky and is the most durable plane I have ever had the pleasure to fly, she just bounces back with virtually no damage at all. If all planes were as good as this one it would attract a lot more enthusiasts into this hobby I am sure. If you don't get one, you will be missing out on the fun of your life and it is a great size to keep in the trunk of your car. I am a happy little pilot with smiles every time I fly her. I just ordered another one, they are that good. Blue skies.. Allan

If I built this again I would flip the aileron servo so it runs inside the ducting to the horns on the top of the wings. Its effect on the airflow would be minimal, and allow to belly land without the tanks on, without damaging the control horns. Although it looks awesome with the tanks on, it flies so much better with them off, with noticable improvements in climb and cruise. Well worth doing. A 1000mah pack flies much better than the recomended 850mah also and balances almost perfectly without adding any weight.

Arrived quickly, packed well, no damage. Two warped wings with huge wash in and a warped fin needed fixing by warming and twisting, but otherwise fit and finish is very good. My other Skyangel EDF, the 35mm Hawk had the same issues. Seems to be a manufacturing issue and not packaging.
Build is straight forward with the only cutting being a small hole for the aileron servo lead to pass through and removing 3mm from the bottom of the battery compartment to fit the Zippy Compact 3s 850mah which is 17mm thick. Needed 24g of lead in the nose to achieve correct cg otherwise all good. AUW ready for flight with an Orange AR6100 rx is 360gms. (Lipo 61g, Wing tanks 13g, Ballast 24g) Full thottle and a firm toss saw it climb away with little trim required. (mainly due to some warp still in the wings) Power is sufficent to allow for decent speed and gentle aerobatics. A badly balanced fan didn't let the motor unload properly, but once balanced will make a noticable improvement.
Handles nicely with no bad tendancies to speak of. Even with the slight wash in on the wings, the tip stall is barely present and like most small edfs, responds well to a bit of speed. The glide is nice and gentle and combined with the wing tanks makes for smooth landings on grass. Flight time was 3.5 minutes.
Overall the flight envelope is a good spread for beginners to EDF and experienced pilots alike. A few min

Perfect plane! it came in the mail to days ago. there was no battery included in mine, but i was going to change that anyway. i am now using a 25c 1000mah battery and i works perfect! The plane was an easy build, only glueing of the main wings, stabilators and the tail fin. this is my first EDF jet, and it flew beautifully. i have some experience with the wing dragons, and would reconmend this as a first time EDF jet. it is cheap, esy to build and flies friendly. It is quite fast, but not a speedmonster. Keep it up HK!!

Well built, easy to put together, motor and edf appear to be balanced as there is liitle to no vibration throughout the rpm range. A relatively stable flier and very responsive. Very fast straight and level with a very good zoom climb capability. Using a Rhino 3S1350, no ballast required to attain CoG though a a little foam removal was required to fit the battery but not to much. All in all a fun fast plane to fly but you have to stay ahead of the aeroplane especially on landing as it does not slow down in any great hurry.

Jet arived in good condition.

Looks great even if it's yust hanging on my sealing ;)

Easy to assemble - 30 minutes fan sounds good thrust measured between 250-300 grams, had to mod the aileron rods a little but no big deal can't wait to fly this thing.

After many many flights I can recomend this plane as one of the funniest planes I ever flown, it is so resistant, once I chashed it at high speed against a minivan's bumber, plane just bounced, only damage was some wrinkles in the nose. due to it's nose shape it can take lots of front impacts with no significative damage, so in my opinion this plane can be your entry to the EDF jets.

just launch it strongly against the wind
