With a 100% FSA intake, bi-forkated ducting std, cambered airfoils and only 3 servos required this 64mm EDF has PLENTY of potential. I added a carbon spar, Thrust tube, new engine and made a CLEAR vac-formed canopy. 1:1 on a 3S2200 40c at 35Ap. ESC (handles 4S), but very bad thermal protection STD - requires heat past and re-aligning the heat tape on the FETs, and embedded into the duct airflow. Also made full-wing balsa elevons. Flies like a dream. Foam quality varies, some sections over-baked with steam and bubbled? Will buy another..

awesome plain looks good but the battery compartment is limited to what size battery you can put in due to where the front wheel is situated if the wheel was not there and a little foward you can fit a good size battery.the supplied inrunner motor is pretty crap so i hav installed a Herculese motor for a bit more grunt.Easy to put together just glue main wings together and install landing wheels on wings and you are ready to go.

Hi,I am reporting back on this. I put in a new fan 64mm $3.99 from here and a turnigy EDF out runner 2810 4600kv,with a Rhino 1350 30c,all from HC.It halls ass now. Grass take-offs, speed, and slow landings are good. One thing that is a must:when glueing on the main wing, be shure to get the back of wing up flush at the top of fusa lodge, not flush with the underside of fuse. Even 2mm off will cause the nose go down and crash on take off!

I flew the litle mirage with 1500mah 3s li-po .the plane is fine from what i had time to see before the esc start smoking just after a 2 minute fliyng and triming the plane .i never got it to full speed do i can tell that the 20A esc in not up to the job ...the motor can go up to 30A so i think that a biger esc is a must.

Wanted to address the many comments about the battery tray. you can enlarge it. I did it with a Dremel and a heavy grit sanding bit. You can reposition the radio gear further back in the fuse.

Make sure that the ESC is positioned with the heat sink facing outward and under the vent holes. You can improve the cooling if you Enlarge the holes orvadd more holes. I glued a small "hood scoop" shape piece of plastic to channel the air. Works great.

Nice durable airplane, like others have stated, it could use more thrust.. but then, cant they all?

It is a very stable aircraft but the CG on it (all delta wings) is critical. Don't know if I'm just lucky or what but I have a dozen flights on the stock fan and ESC with no issues. Using a Rhino 1550mAh 3s pack, it pulls 27 amps at full load and around 15-17 at half throttle. Like most delta wings, it is EASY to flu and lands it self.

Hi.

Good plane little underpowered, but excellent flyer. The only issue with it is the poor refrigeration of the ESC that cause stopping of motor during fly. I've used both 1300 fligthmax and 1500 turnigy batteries. Best response with 1500 and enough room for it.

Enough quality foam, and durable. Some bad landings and still in good conditions to fly.

Stable in flight but recommendable expo (60%) on ailerons.
