Nice sturdy Frame

Jan 11, 2019

I used this on my first built. Nice and sturdy. A little heavier than advertised, but cannot complain. Crashed a few times and it is still intact. Although the feet broke off quite easily. I suggest putting other feet on them, like makeshift flat springs to land easily

Ganz gut

Nicht perfekt, dafür fehlt mir hinten, dass das Oberdeck bis ganz nach hinten geht. Aber sehr stabil. hält einiges aus.

Such a thick tough frame, has coped with many crashes and is only just starting to show signs of splitting

Excellent cost-effective frame.

Frame configuration is derived from that of the QAV250. Consequently, most advantages of the QAV carries over. This frame is very robust, but at the cost of weight. Nevertheless, its low price more than redeems itself. Buy a couple of these, and you can freely test and hack around with miniquads!

I put a Pixfalcon on one and made a GPS guided boat out of it. The automated soft-landings keep the landing rods from breaking the arm beams.

it can take a beating.

LEDs on the bottom of the main frame, bad location. mine broke pretty quick.
ditto the landing gear issues. I replaced the studs with heavy springs of the same size. landings can be a little bouncy, but less likely to break the arm mount.
lots of room to mount goodies, too bad six inch props are not an option.
but it is tough, I've hit trees ar full speed, even a brick wall. this frame has not broken yet.

solid

Nice frame and flies very solid, not the fastest 250 out there but fast enough. didnt use pdb as i built a stack system with naze32 and naze sized pdb and put them in the middle and battery on top so nothing was underneath it. motors i went for LD power esc and 2204 2300kv motors.

So, I built my first quad this week. I've flown toy quads for a little bit and rc planes (my regular hobby). I decided that I would build one and go fpv.

I needed a frame that was a good size and simple. It needed to be robust enough to take my beginner bumps. I didn't think carbon fibre would take the knocks I would likely have. As a result I opted for the Quanum Falcon Billet Block FPV Racing Drone Frame.

I cannot stress how happy I am. This frame is bullet proof. I crashed from 10ft onto concrete, I've hit walls, garden furniture and almost the cat.... It took every tumble in its stride. Only a small scuff on the end of the arms to show for it. No cracks or snaps.

The only negatives are, that it is heavy compared to CF, there are no build instructions (not that you'll need them) and no spare parts (that I know of).

Overall excellent for beginners like me.

Great frame for the price. Lots of space for all of your equipment.Be gentle on the landings though. A hard landing on anything but the softest surface will destroy the rubber boots on the landing gear. Anything harder than that will bend the landing gear or break where they attach to the arms. Also, the front LEDs got a bit smashed up on some of my more aggressive landings.Other than that, it seems to take everything else I can throw at it.

A very sturdy frame with a nice PDB and a very good way to mount your speedcontrollers.

The short version is.... You get what you pay for.

Pros: looks and assembles just like a QAV250. 3D printed accessories for the QAV250 fit perfectly. I strongly recommend a 3D printed FPV camera mount vs the included mount.

Cons: The landing gear seem to be designed to break the arms. I broke the section of arm the landing gear mount to on both front arms by day 2. Luckily you can just take them off, assuming you aren't using the under-slung PDB. Speaking of the PDB, it soldered up just fine but I had problems with the flight controller seeming to brown out while using it.

Eliminating the PDB and landing gear solved all of my problems with this frame. I used a PDB in the FC stack and moved the ESCs to the arms.
