Southern Rail HO Scale SA/BP ATB Series 3 Car Oil Tank Set (South Australia/BP 1988-1992)

These tank cars were built by Clyde Engineering for the "Commonwealth Oil Refinery" (C.O.R.) in Victoria during 1954-1955, C.O.R. was later to become BP. The design was the same as the NSW Tulloch 10,000 tank cars which use the standard riveted underframe. The tanks varied from single, double and triple domes and single, double or triple compartments.

This is a set of 3 double bogie HO Scale ATB series 3 dome single compartment oil tank cars as used in South Australia by ANR and BP between 1988 and 1992. Each wagon is different, there is 1 x 3 Dome RD-ATBY 7222-H, 1 x 3 Dome RD-ATBL 7235 and 1 x 3 Dome Oblong with Elbow SV-ATBY 7244. They are ready to run with highly detailed bodies, underframe and chassis, etched stainless steel walkways and ladders, blackened Code 100 nickel silver turned solid wheels, operating buffers, and geniune Kadee 158 couplings. The bodywork is injection molded, the metal parts have been applied separately and the detailing is for the 1988-1992 period. Build an interesting oil refinery scene and bring it to life with long trains of assorted oil tank wagons.
