I purchased this motor and I had with it 2 major problems.
1. The cooling plate on the motor side was leaking. Test yours before you use it. Feed water from one end and close the exit, with cover of the motor removed, so you can see the leak. I fixed mine by making a plate of 1 mm aluminium which I fitted between the motor and cooling plate and sealed on the plate side with silicon grease.
2. Warning: The motor is supplied absolutely dry !, Do not use it before you open the motor boot and grease/oil the flexible and propeller shaft !. The boot has an orifice to oil the
propels shaft. Mine was leaking and when I examined it I realized it is impossible to seal the oil by defective design. I managed to seal mine by the use of liquid rubber silicone. It is a delicate operation, to much silicone can block the passage of the oil.

Très bon et très bel équipement.
Attention au coussinet d'arbre qui est en cuivre. A huiler abondamment.
HK : Pouvez-vous nous fournir aussi des arbres flexibles de remplacement.

hello does anybody knows the Motor Mounting Hole Centers for this unit? i have a 3500 kv motor with 25mm mounting holes to center but this page does Not says anything about mounting holes for the motors thanks

This is the second one of these I have

brought and I am installing it on 750mm deep vee. The first one I installed on a 600mm deep vee and super fast with no upgrades e.g.2836/3700kv/700w motor,4s battery and 32mm 1.4pitch 3 blade prop.

I recieved one week ago. 4 weeks delivery lead time ,as expected. I purchased it to replace a Gtx 650.
Very good surprise : Very good quality for that price.
I tested yesterday. Very good results for a boat which is not build for high speed. I like the sound of outrunner motor, the first one I purchased.
I recommend it.

As mentioned before, this outboard's quality is lightyears ahead of the one that came with the Hornet F1. I have now used this F3 outboard on my Hornet F1. I was expecting the motor not to be able to get it moving fast, but this is a Great upgrade! The Hornet runs much better. Fewer snipouts. Good speed. Smoother takeoff.
