Although this motor is listed as a 3S motor with a maximum of 11 volts it is an excellent motor on 4S with 13" and 14" props. On 3S the current will exceed the specified maximum current of 35 Amps long before you get to the specified maximum of 600 watts. I am using one with a 4S battery with a 13" x 6.5" APC prop and it runs great. Could easily go to a 13" x 8" prop without overloading the motor. I haven't tried it with 4S and 14" props but it should be fine.

Hoby King should revise the motor specs to 4S with a maximum voltage of 16.8 volts.

Made my first three flights this morning with this motor in a Gary Wright E3D running a 5000MAH 3s. 12/7 prop pulled 30amps and 350 watts. Problem: bearings are already bad! After less than 10 minutes flying time, I have bearing noise and some prop wobble. Obviously very poor quality bearings used in this motor. Look elsewhere for your next motor.

This is an okay motor, the advertised weight is correct in the ad. I purchased this to use in my PA Ultimate AMR. It was a drop-in replacement for the Thrust 40 (size wise), fit the original holes exactly. However, I think this is more of a 4S motor unfortunately. I use a 3s 2200 25C Zippy, 13x8 Turnigy Light electric prop, only got 325 Watts and 29 amps. 13x6.5 APCe prop, got the same results. You either need 14"-15" props with lots of ground clearance or a 4S lipo.

I have this motor but I'm finding it difficult to find a plane that will accept it. Most planes have the motor mounted with the can in front of the mount. How can you mount this motor in planes where that is the case?
