Very good motor,but the prop adapter is really short and the prop adapter broke while I was trying to fix tight my prop on the motorzeer goede motor veel power in de citabriaGuter Motor zu einem absolut tollen Preis. Habe ihn in einer AT-6 von VQ Model verbaut. Erstflug steht noch aus.After 5 years of running HK motors, this one failed. Max static amps was limited to 50. Third flight the airplane slowed. Landed it and the motor was hot! I took it apart and a magnet had come loose and ground itself up. All the HK motors I have used, I have not had a problem by limiting max static amps. Thus I rate the motor high, the value good, but in this isolated case, poor assembly quality. The motor had to be defective form the manufacturer and HK, being nice people should at their expense replace it.
Okay, having said that, I ordered a new replacement motor form HK along with other parts. Over 5 years using HK motors and ESC's, I have now had one motor failure which I believe to be a manufacturing defect. Thus, I am continuing to use HK products and I have and use many HK motors and ESC's and recommend them to friends as good, inexpensive, reliable hardware.I put this motor in a Dynam P47. The motor mount requires some slight modifications, which I did with a Dremel tool. I only need one-half throttle for most flying. With full power, I have unlimited vertical. acceleration is smooth and easy to set up ESC, which I use an 80 amp ESC.Shaft on prop adapter broke the first time I tightened it. I am certain I did not over-torque it. Ordered new accessory kits. Only available at global warehouse.Tested on brand new TGY 5S 3000mah 30C (fully charged)

I needed thrust around 2300g so goal achieved. 11x10 prop should give my MP Tucan brutal speed. Cant wait to maiden!I bought this for my Maxford GeeBee E, which is a 3 lb., 10 oz. plane. I've got a 14" wooden prop on it and this motor does the job well. It gets hot, but not "burn my fingers" hot. I could keep it cooler, but this plane looks it's best going fast. I'm very happy with the motor. (I meant to give it all 5 crowns above, but accidentally hit the 4. Sorry about that)4 Crowns because the 2nd one I received had total different specs. Most likely it became the wrong sticker and is 500kv or so.
The first SK-3 4240 740kv has 48amps with 5s and 10x7 APC prop.
The second SK-3 4240 740kv had only 33amps with 5s and 10x7 APC prop.
The faulty one I did send back, so awaiting replacement motor from HobbyKing.Excellent motor. I used it in HK's Sukhoi SU-29 and then in HK's 1300m Yak 54. Great on a 4 cell pack, fantastic on 5 cells. Very robust and smooth.
