brought one of these a month ago. used it 4times running 4s 5800mah 25c with 120amps sec and 36mm prop in my rc surfer and it got extremely hot and died. motor had plenty of power tho when it was running.

I just received 2 of these motors, haven't done much testing yet. Just a basic test connecting to ESC (without installing in a model) to make sure it works.

It looks well made; and the noise level isn't very high when it works.

Note that the weight of the motor is 170g (including wires as shown on the picture) and not 260g. Even when wrapped in plastic and packed in cartoon box the weight is 185g.

I noted that it gets warm when runs on full throttle - even only for a few seconds, even without any load, even only on 3S lipo battery

I noticed it becomes warm after running on full throttle even for a few seconds (even without any load at all) so I guess it will become hot in real use. I plan to use water cooling anyway...

Stopped working after about 10 min in my 1/8 monster truck maybe good for 1/10 scale think I will get a XL size motor this is a large size.

I have put it in a jet FLYFLY thunderbird with a chensung 90, 5s 4000 and esc 200A HK.Watt'up tell 95A and 1700w !!! edf run to 44.000 rpm and thunderbird 230 km/h.I have put a heatsink.. motor not extremly hot...

I filed the shaft and used it on a 1/10 Short course truck(HPI Blitz). It was way too powerful on 3S plus. Shredded the tires like they were paper, but it sure was fast. Cheap alternative to the VXL... but you need to make sure the shaft is long enough. It's much shorter than most car motors. It also needs to be modded to accept a car pinion.
