I use this motor in an E-flight mini pulse XT with a 1800-2200mah lipo and HK 30amp esc and it will pull the plane vertical with a 8X6 prop, motor is a little warm apon return on a hard flight or room temp on a lazy flight. Had to make a new motor mount out of balsa to fit properly but it was better then paying $50 for the 450 e-flight recomended motor.

Este motor oferece um otimo empuxo, porem tive alguns problemas tais como:

- Aquecimento do ESC, mesmo estando utilizando um ESC de 40-50A da Hobbyking (modelo Hobbyking SS Series 40-50A ESC). Meu amigo que adiquiriu o mesmo motor foi pior, pois o esc dele nem aguenta rodar o motor ao mximo. O ESC utilizado pelo meu amigo e o Hobbyking SS Series 45-50A ESC.

- O motor se soltou da base em pleno voo, felizmente projetei meu modelo com uma razao de planeio razoavel e consegui pousar sem motor, contudo a frente de meu modelo ficou bem danificada. Apos o pouso, pude verificar que o motor estava pendurado pelo fio e a base fixa no aeromodelo. No caso de meu amigo foi pior. Segundo ele, o motor se soltou do suporte em pleno teste e inclusive arrementou o fio, saindo como um tiro para frente. Pelo o que pude observar o problema nao est no parafuso que trava ambas as partes e sim no material de fabricacao do motor, que deixa a desejar. Em ambos os casos quanto mais apertamos o parafuso, mais o motor era danificado (mascado e ovalizado). Para o meu caso, alem do parafuso resolvi colar o motor em sua base!!!!

As with any motor that you buy, be it used or new. Always check the attachment screws ! Ive seen a lot of posts where the engine comes off.. This would not happen it the attachments where checked. I check mine before every flight !

Hi again

My motor fel apart when testing it in my Spitfire.
I was able to repair it after all, but that is not something you wanne do when bying this new.
After all I was able to test it, and I noticed that this is indeed a Ampere hungry motor.
It was using around 36 A with a 1160*3 prop from spitfire with a 2200maH 3cell and I used a 60 A mystery esc.
So for all of you be aware too use a big ESC in my opinion use a 50 A minimum ore better a 60 A to stay in the save zone.
It can deliver up to 360Watt and with a 9050 prop it still delivers around 280 watt.
So a very powerfull motor.

But be aware that the shaft which hold the 4 mm bold can ge loosse inside this motor.

First of all the motor tested without prop and was ok, so build it in my Spitfire and wanted to do the trust test.....

but....the motor jammed after throttle up in just 1 second and the chrome part was out of alignment. This is really disappointed motor looks good but I take it apart and the nut that holds the bold in place where you attach spinner went loose inside the motor and it is crap material where it is made of, winding of bold is beyond repair.....

In other words the material of the bold inside this motor is crap.

So in my opinion dont buy it at this moment because you can trust it, sorry to say this

The torn engine, the bell out of his place and hurt with the propeller the edge of assault, the bad thing is ue the small screw does not fit well, bound to change or to arrange it with epoxi, because of it 3 stars.
