I ordered a meter of this heat shrink tubing to redo my 30A Emax ESC's. 30mm doesn't sound small when it comes to doing an ESC but it's huge. Took a bit of effort to shrink but when it did it fit snuggly around the ESC.

When I received this one, the diameter is not 30mm, it's only 23mm. It won't fit on 20A ESC. Quality is ok. I am disappointed with the measurement.

Works great for rewrapping larger ESC's that you may have gone into for soldering shorter connectors. Many other applications as well.

30mm is the diameter! If you lay them flat it is much wider than 30mm. Why? The 30mm is the inside diameter so when you account for the mm or so thickness this has an outer circumference of 100mm (32*pi). 100/2 (i.e. a circle laid flat) = 50mm.



There you have it. Math. This is 30mm diameter, or 50mm wide heat shrink. Same applies to all other heat shrink.
