Balance Plug only fits a full 8s connector. Requires an adapter for any other size batteries. Fatal design flaw for an otherwise useful device.

Very useful item. Seems accurate for IR testing but voltage indications, in my case, are wrong at least for one cell (#3) : voltage is much higher with IR tester when compared with my current voltage tester, and this with any LiPo battery tested. However, increases in IR are correctly checked and this is the most important thing.

Essential to see the life of the battery. It arrives on time to prevent a fire on two batteries. I dont know if it is very accurate but whem i see the IR grow up quickly its time to send to recycle the battery and add new one.

I do not know how accurately measures the part , but as a rough estimation formula I use the following : 0,51V / capacity [ Ah ] * C - rate . Specifically, it is when measured from the beginning and then compares .

Just got this IR meter but when I compare its readings to my iCharger IR readings, the readings are very different. Gave me some suspiciously low readings for a 2 year old 2200mah lipo (5.9ohm highest on this meter and 9ohm on the iCharger). Anyone know if there's a way to calibrate these units?

Works great, I have a lot of old batteries and none failed yet. The IR is another indicator for your judgments of your collection. Case could have been designed a lot more compact. But it and the unit are sturdy and feels durable. I have many of the voltage only checkers. Now that I have this, these others are backups and in the bottom of the repair tool caddy and not the flight case.
