I outrunners Turnigy Multistar sono progettati con una cosa in mente - massimizzare le prestazioni multi-rotore! Sono dotati di magneti di fascia alta 45SH, cuscinetti NMB di alta qualità, 12 poli, montare il motore su misura e tutti sono precisione equilibrata per silenziosità, questi motori sono progettati specificamente per l'uso multi-rotore.

Il 4220-880 include un adattatore prop e ha un costruito in alluminio di montaggio per un'installazione facile e veloce sulla cornice multi-rotore. Questi motori sono forniti all'interno di una bella schiuma allineati scatola di metallo Multistar.

Questi outrunners Multistar sono stati specificamente progettati da zero per l'utilizzo multi-rotore e non sono basati su motori aerei.

Das sind ganz tolle Motoren , das Preis Leistung verhältins topp .
Lauf ruhig . Habe 6 Stück , nun ist einer Defekt und sind keine Wellen erhältlich Schade .

These are good-looking motors that run smooth and quiet, delivering very good performance. Tests were done with a Turnigy in-line power meter to measure electrical performance and a digital scale to measure thrust. Battery was a 3s 4500mah 30-50C Nano-Tech. The ESC was a stock Turnigy Plush 30A set for Medium timing. I detected no timing issues. The first test was with a GemfFan 11 x 4.7 SF plastic prop. Measured data was 20.5 amps, 230 watts and 1050 grams thrust. Although that exceeded the rated continuous current of 17 amps the motor did not get more than slightly warm. At 50pcnt it pulled 6.5 amps and 79 watts at 6.2 grams/watt. A second test was done using a GemFan 12 x 4.5 prop. That one pulled 28.0 amps (165pcnt continuous spec) at full throttle with 1100 grams thrust. I aborted the test after about 15 seconds because I smelled the winding varnish cooking and the case was getting hot. It seemed odd that the 12 prop produced just 50 grams of thrust ) more than the 11 at WOT but I ran the tests 3 times to verify the numbers. My guess is that the 12 combination less efficient. At hover (50pcnt) thrust the 11 produced 7 grams/watt while the 12 produced 6 grams/watt. To me the slight gain in thrust is not worth the risk of over-proping.

I'm very glad with the quality, but after a little flying and some light crashes they make a noise, because of the crashes i can't say it's the bad bearings fault but will change them anyway. got really good "punch" in my quad with a 1:5.5 weight lift ratio. tried these in a rig with 3 different props, and measured power consumption and lift. data:
12x4.5 SF plastic: max 1,3kg thrust and about 230W. at 250g trust it get about 9g/W. 14 min medium wild flight time when consuming 2300mah.
12x5.5 CF T-style prop: max 1,4kg thrust and about 260W. at 250g trust it get about 10g/W. 15 min medium wild flight time
14x4.5 wood: max 1,4kg thrust. at 250g trust it get about 10g/W.
