Good truck. The ARR version that I received did NOT have the upgraded parts that the kit version comes with. Product specialist said it would. Still a bargain even after buying the parts separately. Do the mods that others on the forum have done and it will be awesone.

Awesome truck! It's worth it all around! I have been running this for 6 months now. No major problems, to say none but the gears! This truck just eats spurs for breakfast! I solve the problem changing the pinion and spur from the original 48p to 32p maintaining the same gear ratio!! Look for pinion product id: 249000206 and spur product id: 249000205. This is a direct fit! It can handle 2S and 3S power! In 3S is absolutely insane!! Also, the body is to stiff and cracks and breaks easily. I will have to get another one soon... Anyway, at the end of the day, I will buy it again! It's awesome and very easy to maintain... and cheap!

Super Truck, i like it a lot. Its the car of my Daughter she's 8yr and lve this truck COmined with a Gyro it is easy to drive. And i have no Problems with the DogBones at all. Superb SCT Truck. Already bought the KIT version too.

This thing is great, takes a good beating, the only weakness is the spur gear, get a genuine kyosho one or something similar, ive cooked about 5 of the hobbyking ones, I put a kevlar losi spur on it haven't stripped it since, and its had many packs put through it since then. The outdrive cups are weak and flog out fast, convert it to the quanum skull crusher outdrive cups, and uni shafts - they have bigger pins in them and last a bit longer.

Short: perfect!
I wanted to buy car with 4WD but after long discussion with my friend I decided to buy 2WD. Reason for my decision was less things can go wrong/brake! Now I see my decision was right. Car handling is perfect and its speed is with 2S battery and stock equipped 47KMH (29,2MPH) what is for me pretty fast more than you need on track. If you decide to buy this car you have to check all screws if they are well screwed, I also noticed oil from rear shock absorber came out. Problem was because upper part of absorber (cover) was not screwed till end. Before running it check everything possible! When you run it off-road (and it is an off-road car) the pins who keep the front suspension together with the car come out easily. If you want to look nice then you have to order spare body. I drove my car on asphalt track and after high speed in corner it turned over and slide on a roof what caused pretty big scratches all over the body... but nevertheless this is perfect car for big kids ;o). I would buy it again!

I just tested my! I run it with nano-tech 4000mah 2S and runs perfect. Very satisfied with investment. When I drove it with a bit high speed in corner (asphalt track) it roll over so I have now on edge above rear right tire small hole and on roof some quite big scratches (expected on PVC body)
Overall I would by it again!
HK please make available spare parts also in EU warehouse!

5 stars for value. 4 stars on overall build quality. The one thing to note - if you're trying to set the ESC *use the paper manual* included, the online instructions for setting Throttle calibration and ESC programming modes are not entirely accurate. Wheels need to be balanced if you're planning to run this truck fast and the 60A ESC fan may not be rated for 3S, I could smell mine on 11.1 volts, works perfect on 2S. Overall, hard to beat on value!

A good truck given the price point. The chassis twists quite easily. This makes it difficult to tune the suspension for bumpy off road tracks as there's always that 'flex factor'. Before operating the truck I replaced the hinge points as the previous reviews warned of plastic fatigue. This truck is quick and fast on the street but is a handful on an off road track as the back end likes to 'loosen up' exiting corners. The plastic shocks did not last long. I replaced them with Traxxas shocks. Also I didn't care much for the ball mounts on the shocks and linkages. I replaced them with turnbuckles. I also had to replace the wheels and rims as the stock rims fatigue easily. This car could afford to be a bit more rigid and durable. But it's fast. The power system is spot on. I purchased this truck for myself and an SCT 4x4(yellow/black) for my son. Looking back I wish I'd purchased two of the 4x4's instead.
