Overheat protection cuts the power of my motor after 5 minutes but for the price, it's a great product

Bought one of these to use with a Turnigy 10.5t sensored motor and 2S battery.
The first one i got only lasted for 2 runs and it burned my motor.... bought another identical motor thinking that was the problem, but as soon as i turned it on, the esc got incredibly hot, it burned my hand... started smelling like burned plastic, wouldn't turn the motor at least once.
Got a replacement esc and it's been working perfect for over 4 months now, in my Sakura D3 drift car... nothing to complain about; the fan still works, even though it accumulates dust, the li-po cut off kicks in every single time at the specified voltage, doesn't get hot, very easy to program via both Tx and programming card.
Haven't tested it on 3S yet, but there shouldn't be any problems.
So... all in all ... even though i received a faulty esc the first time, it turned out this is a great quality product and i would recommend it to anyone.

I hooked this esc up to a Trackstar 13.5 and it rocks. I race indoors and will have to turn it down, awesome power. This and the 13.5 are a great combo.

I can recommend this ESC. I have used it in a Losi XXX-SCB with the 13T motor (PRODUCT ID: 3650-13T) and the programming card (PRODUCT ID: TTS-Prog), and it works very well. Didn't get warm after some heavy bashing. The SCB pops wheelies with stock gearing! Looking forward to testing it on the track. Will be trying the 100A version very soon...
