Another decent tank from Heng Long

I have 5 Heng Long tanks now and this is one of the best. I have painted it in Auscam and weathered it. £45 cheaper on Hobbyking than anywhere else. Drives really well with metal tracks, metal gearbox, idler wheels and drive wheels. Smoke works well, good power on airsoft gun. I wish they created new tank noises as these are still from the Tiger and as such do not replicate the turbine engines of the Abrams. Massively better than no sound though...
These tanks are addictive and I have just worked out there are 18 more that I want to get...so much cheaper than Tamiya tanks and almost as good, in fact better with a few mods...come on Hobbyking get a T90 and Challenger II into your line up. Wagons Ho

After receiving the ABRAMS today, my hope of a good metal track product was short lived.

whilst the packaging and presentation we very good, with and instruction manual that was legible, understandable, the build quality is very poor.

1) the rear right track wheel was found to be snapped thru the central preformed tensioned track wheel arm, this was fatigue under the pressure of the rebound wheel spring, unfortunately this was found in the box on opening.

2) the metal left gear drive was found to be detached from the metal gears, thus the Abrams would only go in circles.

this did make the model un-usable, it would make me think twice about any more large purchase.
