I really don't mean to carry on like a 16 Y/O giggly school girl on her first crush but MAAAAAAAAN !!! I just don't know how they can sell this model for the money ??? I mean sure, the servo needs replacing with a HD metal gear one but beyond that....Whoah !! Running the new Turnigy NanoTech Traxxas replacement 90C 3S Li-Po today I think I took it to Truggy HELL & back ! Beyond being chased & bitten constantly by my American Blue Staffy, I hooked up my new GoPro H2 and unleashed it through 3' deep muddy puddles at FULL noise and speeds which actually had it aquaplaning over the surface. I hose down after play in the back yard without mercy kicking it over like a dead Turtle to do its belly and axles etc... then hang out inverted to dry on the clothes line before target lubing with Mantek Pentron spray penetrant and we are done & dusted. This machine is beyond comprehension given that the 'BIG NAME' boys ask in excess of $400-USD for one of 'their' BRUSHED 2WD units .... Wha .... Why would you bother ? I am buying replacement Traxxas bodies and wheel kits on Ebay constantly changing the beasts appearance & it looks trumps man ! I will buy TWO more of these ASAP/when they become available as now seeing what can be achieved with a mounted G/Pro I'm taking this to full-sized track events for serious down n dirty footage with custom cam mounting.... HobbyKing you are the DuX-NuTz !!

The cars a BULLIT man ! It seriously thumps on 3S. Make sure you do the the mod on the fan wiring though as posted on the international listing for this truck on HK. Granted wheels and body are unremarkable in every way to the bling-pleased eye but jump on Ebay and search Short Course Trucks 'bodies/wheels' and you'll find plenty of far spankier accesories to brighten it up as I have done for about $80-$90 extra which, when fitted surely make this HK version look every bit the part of a $400 Traxxs version. I'm waiting for them to get stocked again cos for this price I'm buying one more when this one goes to spare-parts heaven ! Yes I have purchased & LOVE IT almost as much as my Staffy does !!

Great truck, very fast on 3s 20c LiPo. Make sure you buy extra bulkheads, suspension linkage, a-arms, small e-clips before you get your truck because it takes 2 weeks for spare parts to be shipped to the USA. Do not drive it into the curb or other hard object, best if driven on dirt only. Faster than Traxxas Slash that cost twice as much at our local track.

JUst got told that this car is discontinued and will not be in stock anymore after I paid for it. Luckily all resolved and I get a refund but will buy some radio gear instead.

VERY good value for money, even with 40 shipping! a few weak parts, it pretty much rolled into the wall in my living room and broke a rod end! may have just been unlucky tho because i have had much harder crashes/bad jumps with no problems!

This is my first truck and I love it. I am not a racing guy, so I got it for playing around in the park. I did not change anything and run it out of the box with 5000mAh 3s 20C LiPo.

Wow. It is fast. I had to program EPA 30pcnt for throttle to be able to run t in my backyard (grass). At this setting truck takes about 100mAh per minute (average) running 8-ts. In the park I setup throttle EPA 50pcnt and it was flying on the grass. At 100pcnt EPA full throttle the truck was incontrollable on the grass or dirt (could not run straight line for more than 20 yards). The motor and ESC was slightly warm (not hot). I dont see a need for more powerful motor or ESC.

This truck is 4x4 means the front wheels will rip dirt and throw it inside the truck - especially on turns. Plastic walls mounted to the metal frame are not high enough to protect interior from shooting dirt. After each run, the truck was full of grass and dirt not good for ESC fan.

Unfortunately my fun did not last long, as during the fast run on the grass the front bottom suspension arm broke. I did not hit anything; it broke from the hard work and fatigue (maybe it was faulty material there). At that moment the shaft (called Dog Bone) fell of and got lost in the grass. So my advice is: Get spare suspension and Dog bone. I did not find a source for upgrade parts, so I will have to make stronger aluminum suspension arms myself.

I rate this TX 5 stars. Good buy.

In a word - AWESOME! I used the Turnigy 4000mAh 3S 30C Lipo Pack( 143 x 49 x 20mm), which is a tight fit for the battery compartment. It's a few mm bigger, and has to lie at a slight angle, but still fits! I'm going to guess, if this truck was full size, the power would be equivalent to 700 - 900 hp. All 4 tires "burn out" and throw mud/dirt into the air when fully throttled. Excellent shock action. You won't be disappointed BUY BUY BUY.
