i bought this thing to tow a caravan for the RC Clubs annual caravan race. its perfect for bashing about. its softly sprung and rolls about but so friendly to use. i only ran it on 2cell so it wasnt really fast but it was steady, reliable and importantly finished the race. you cannot fix the slop and wobble of the wheels, but hey this truck is fun. one of the rear shocks snapped off at the plastic connector. i swapped all the shocks for LOSI SCTE shocks and it went a whole lot better. this thing worked well for me and did what was required and is ready for next years caravan race...

This is my second truck (the first was red from Global warehouse). It arrived in 3 days - excellent condition. Out of the box it has a lot of loose in suspension and steering. Maybe can be acceptable for off-road, but hard to control on pavement at high speed. See youtube video Pd9IL__uUcY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd9IL__uUcY). You still need to adjust linkages for wheel alignment and gap between motor and center diff gear.

All issues are easy to fix:

- All ball links: replace the ball and pressing the ball through 0.04mm (1.5mil) foil.

- Ball link inside Steering Knuckle: plastic washer OD= 11mm, ID = 8mm, 0.3mm thick

- wheel bearing: Pre-tension bearings adding plastic washer under the outer bearing. Washer size OD = 12mm, ID = 9mm, thickness = 0.3mm

Still working on steering arms but should not be a problem either. Watch the progress on Polish forum alexrc.pl - there are pictures and videos in thread dedicated to ACME Trooper 1:10 Brushless 4WD Short Course Truck.

Overall this is great truck for great price. Takes a lot of abuse without breaking - front and rear bumper works great :-). Runs on grass too.

It's more than happy with battery ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 3S1P 20C hardcase pack (PRODUCT ID: Z50003S1P-20) which fits exactly in the space provided. At 4600mAh taken ESC cuts off after hard long run motor and ESC are warm, but aluminum floor works as radiator for both. This battery gives about 30 minutes bashing around.

Informed with customer support and it's too bad this truck is arriving in 3 months... I bought a 1/8 Trailblazer instead. Maybe I will buy this truck another time.

This truck will take some tuning and tweaking. Buy plenty of spare A-arms. If the front diff mounts ever come back in stock get plenty of them too. I've had problems with wearing out dog bones...so, keep an eye on them. Once you straighten out a few small issues and put a few minor upgrades into this truck it is fun to drive. It handles great and jumps like a champ. You wont be disappointed, but don't expect it to perform like a high dollar RTR out of the box without putting some more money and time into it.

Mine rocked up a few days ago (1st order from HK). The pinion or spur gear is drilled ever so slightly out of centre, but not enough to cause any issues. Other than that it was good to go straight out of the box.

Goes stupidly fast on 3s. The 30c 3s 5000mah hardcase packs are a perfect snug fit in the battery tray. Big and stable enough to mount a gopro on top of it without it majorly affecting the stability.

Huge amounts of fun on hard packed or smooth dirt/sand. Has drawn a crowd wherever I've taken it due to the speed.

Amazing value for money. So impressed that Ive ordered the desert buggy now also.

This truck is awesome, just recieved it today and i already love it! Took it out for a spin and was suprised with its speed and handeling. The 2cell 4000mah gives off some pretty good power. The price is one you cant pass up thats for sure. I tried to get it to roll but couldnt succeed. All in all a great product hk!:)

WOW.... What an amazing toy!! Thank you HK for another good product. Only the steering-servo was broken after a view runs and I replaced it with a better one.
The only thing that is bottering me are the lot of backordered spare parts :(

Shipping from the USA warehouse was timely. As I've read, I went through the truck thoroughly tightening and loosening where needed upon arrival. Other than some minor adjustments it was good to go out of the box. Installed a Traxxas Rx as that was the only spare at the time. The truck is fast on 3s and handles well on the pavement as well as the homemade back yard track. Note to self...don't let inexperienced/young children drive this beast without supervision. Durability was good for the first few days until I let my son and some friends take it for a spin w/out me = busted a-arms. Lesson learned and if you order one, do yourself a favor and order some a-arms with it. They will break and waiting for backstock/shipping puts you out of running for some time. I haven't upgraded the esc/motor as it handles the 3s well so far.

Today servosever broke left and thought what to do and found a similar left-right servosever changed the sleeve to the shaft as on the right. On the left the same way as is now done on the right, now would be a damper on both sides and I think it would be less than the break.

Ok kids. I'm giving this beast ONLY 5 stars. Because I couldn't give 10 ! Seriously. For the $$$ how can ya go wrong ?? Its HUGE !! Sure its no Traxxs, Losi, Asscoiated etc... in so far as quality control goes. WHO CARES ! Absolutely, TIGHTEN every nut/bolt you can get to without dismantling diffs etc... The instruction booklet suggests this in the first few pages anyway so no surprises The wheels, axles and shafts are all a bit sloppy, the suspension is set way too soft so for extra ground clearance moved the shocks to the innermost mounting hole and for some reason the ESC goes hard in forward yet crawls in reverse ... ? I have used a Turnigy 5000 2C on maiden drive and it tools along well. I slipped in a 2200 3S and WOW it will cover ground in half a gallop !!!! I suggest taking it easy on full throttle blasts on 3S. All in all A1 VALUE for $$ & with spares here at these prices much less the option of hopping-up
with after-market wheels & body combo's reasonably priced on Ebay. BUY 1 2DAY is all I gotta say !!
