This hardened steel pinion gear is made of aluminum! Nice finnish 'tho, probably last okay in this bigger size.

I found the coating to ware off pretty quick making the pinion adn little noiser. also be careful when tightening the grub screw as they have be hard to undo as the steel is a bit soft.
