Just a great motor. I have had one for well over two years with gets used most weekends in a plane which we dogfight with and it's still going strong, although I did change the bearings recently. There are about eight of these being used by mates in the club for the same purpose and they all seam to perform well.The recomended prop is too heavy for it. Ideal is APC 10x5 (or 9x6 is used by half the blokes as well). I've just bought my second for a backup plane. We get 13-15 mins Combat and 20-25 Training/cruise from a 6 oz (240ml) tank Cheap fun, runs faultless. Love it.

I'm using this motor in the Phoenix Sonic high wing trainer. motor has 5 tanks so far and black residue is just about gone. Excellent throttle response with a Xoar 10x6 wood prop. Use electric starter for first runs due to extreme tightness at TDC. Hand flip is just about impossible. I just ordered another one for the Phoenix Sonic low wing.

Hallo habe mir zwei von den Motoren gekauft. Mittlerweile hat jeder 3 Liter (Methanol mit 15pcnt Rizinus) durch.
Leistung mit einer Graupner 25x15 cm =10 x 6 Zoll Luftschraube 11600 /min.
Bin sehr zufrieden. Gut drosselbar. Ein blauer OS 7,5 ccm hat mit der gleichen Luftschraube die gleiche Drehzahl!

I own several ASP 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines and this little gem performs as well as the others. It should be noted that even though the muffler has a chamber extension, it does not have a baffle installed. I am not a fan of the annoying high pitched scream of 2 strokes, but this is easily remedied. After breaking in the engine, disassemble the muffler and pack the rear (exhaust) chamber loosely with coarse steel wool. I actually used a piece of a brass "curly" kitchen pot scrubber: no problems with rust! I broke in the engine with the suggested 10x6 (and no muffler packing) and now use a 11x7 and the modded muffler for flight. The engine is now noticeably quieter, no appreciable power loss and no overheating problems have been encountered. Other flyers at my local field thought it was a 4 stroke! Using 10pcnt castor/synthetic fuel with a HobbyKing #4 plug in a small pattern style model. Highly recommended!

Excellent little engine. Starts easily and runs superbly. I am using mine in a home-made 25 size sport plane....heaps of power and almost does unlimited vertical. Using an OS #8 plug and 10pcnt nitro fuel. A great engine at a very reasonable price!!

great in between sized motor for those that like a little sound, smoke and dirt with their planes. And don't forget the risk of stalling the engine mid air. Got to love those dead stick landings! Finishing is fine for the price.

I own two of these and converted them for U/C by adding a venturi and needle valve. Great engines and excellaent value for the money!

Got one of these to put into my combat Spad, runs nice and solid, constant slow idle, revs out without hesitation, great motor, my first ASP after years of putting up with other unreliable big brands, will buy again.
