Beautiful looking and flying but inadequate speed control.

I have flown her three times now and the only problem I am having is a very hot speed control. I would suggest that you replace the speed control with at least a 40 amp or greater. The 30 amp esc is inadequate and will burn up if you push it to hard ( very easy to do because this plane looks so good climbing out after a full throttle low pass )
I have found that the speed control that is offered as original equipment on models that I have bought is just barely adequate. Your better off to replace the speed control before your first flight or it could be you first and last as you watch your model melt down from a "cooked" esc.

HobbyKing must have been clearing the last of these in Oz, as the price was very good. I particularly wanted a glider that could take off from my grass. It went together easily, & looks really great on the bench, but could it get off the grass with it's single wheel.

It was a bit squirrely for a few feet while it got enough speed to keep it's wings up level, & out of the grass then took off like a dream.

Flew just as well, easy & predictable & looked beautiful up there. Getting it down was harder. No sign of stalling or tip stall, & it will fly on by so slowly it is amazing, but it wants to stay up there. It took me 3 goes to get it down anywhere near where near where I wanted it.

I'd grab another for my grand son, if they were still available in Oz.
