The fan is difficult to balance due to space between fan and shaft. This solved with a piece of tape around the shaft. Had to trim the spinner quite a bit to get it to fit. The fan is difficult to tighten because the shaft cannot be blocked. 2kg thrust with a 2900KV motor on 4s, and that's not bad.

i don't like it.................it is impossible to mount an inrunner because you cannot lock the screw!!!!!!!!!! it's impossible well center the cone, ther is no good guide to fix it properly on the rotor!!!!!!!!!!!!! what bad product............................

Nice and smooth EDF

Tested that one for a EDF glider project : used with a TURNIGY XK2858-2900KV BRUSHLESS INRUNNER.
Overall design is quite good, as the sound. Seems efficient fo a 12 bladed EDF !
4S / 3300mAh / 930w / 64A / 1500g of thrsut => nice setup if you are not willing to run as fast as a bullet !

This has not been a good experience for me.

Well I ordered a HK Flycat, out of the box the motor was bad. I found out it’s the shaft. HK recognized the issue. But has not resolved. I was sent a fan unit that’s not the one for the flycat, has not sent a motor to replace the bad one. I have never assembled my flycat. At this point IDK what to do. I see the motor that looks like it’s on it’s way. It’s an inrunner not an outrunner like the one that came with the plane. So now I’m going to have to custom my flycat. More work for me and that’s if I’m sent the right motor set up for this fan unit.
I’m not to happy it seems like customer support is not knowledgeable about product.
At this point I wish they would just take the hit and send me a new flycat.
I hope everyone had a better experience then me.

Good little fan! A bit weird to balance.
You have to get it all assembled, and the last is the nose cone (most EDF cones are simply add cap in position and screw tighten).
This one, the whole cone and screw tighten together! It just requires the tightening and balance position to match!!! Haha! Once you get used to it, great!

Very hard to balance. Relatively high amp draw on 3000kV4S but thrust is there, so not terrible.. sounds good but it's 12b, so always will as long as balanced.
Not sure this is a legit CS fan.. I don't remember seeing any of the usual logos on the shroud.
