Great little motors for the money!
I just used four of these motors on an Octo8X quadcopter... Just use an M8x1 tap to thread the CCW props and they screw directly onto the bell. No lock-nuts are needed, the inertia of the props keeps them screwed on. The CW props are mounted using 3mm prop spinner/adaptors.
The motors have enough power to hover the quad @ 60pcnt throttle with only four of the props fitted.

So, no joy on that, then. I've now tried HUNDREDS of 8mm nuts on the rear shaft and none fits. If anyone has a source for a nut that fits-any nut-please respond here; if I could get a nut that fits,I could machine it down to make a "top hat" section nut which would fit inside the prop. I'm in the UK.

You have to look at what you get for the money. First off it is a unique little power plant that admittedly does not have a large number of applications. It also takes some ingenuity to set up. I had initially planned to use an 8mm jam nut on the rear prop mount. I wound up just doing as was suggested and actually just tapped it with m 8 threads. It has held for several test runs. You must place the reverse rotation prop on the rear station. If you do not do this it will loosen when spinning a standard rotation prop. I have purchased several contraprop units lately and this is a pretty good value. It looks especially cool when using an aluminum 3 blade spinner. I am using HK simple series 8 to 10 amp controllers and these work well. The optimum setup from my testing appears to be with GWS 3 blade 7x3.5 CR props on 2S.

Mounting will require you to fabricate a mounting plate. I have used 1.5mm carbon fiber plate I bought here as well.

If you like unusual bits of RC hardware like I do and also like to tinker then I can recommend these highly. If you are more of a sport flying ARF type pilot (and there is nothing wrong with that) who wants to "gas and go" then you will probably want to pass on these.

Iv bought 4 for a quad and only received one so far you do not get the M8 nut to fix the prop in to place with this and I dont know how the hell you are going to mount the motors every thing is very close and tight, you do not get any manual at all you just get what you see in the pitcher

,so come on hobby kings whats going on with you lot not sending any info with this and nicking a M8 nut come on hobby king

I think it could be a pig in a pope and more tribal then its worth

Not Happy. this motor is too unique to ship without a prop nut for the inner shaft. why is this motor the only one without the prop hardware. i dont think it is propper and is not smart for customer satisfaction. beware this is an incomplete motor without the propper hardware. i hope this motor will work with whatever i can find to make it work.

Ok first this are not 375w but more around 100w and the max amps seems to be around 8amp in total hence 4 amp per motor.
The KV is correct.

The biggest prop you can use are 8 inch on 3 cell or 2 cell lipo anything bigger and the motor do not start turning and make nasty noise.

After testing I've chosen a GWS 7x3.5 3 blade for the top prop and a Master airscrew 7x4 3 blade for the bottom prop I generate 96watt and pulling a max of 8amp

I'm waiting for a couple of H-KING 10A Fixed Wing Brushless Speed Controller to try them with this motor to see if they as good as turnigy plush for a plane setup. The plane is a small HACKER P51-D MUSTANG

I bought three of these little beauties and they look like just the thing for a couple of projects I have in mind-a Seafang and Pogo (VTOL fighter). They look great but please, HobbyKing, how about a suggestion for what size of prop to use? And there's no prop nut for the rear propellor. OK, it's M8 but you really need a thin nut (like on a panel switch maybe?) to keep the weight down, so how about supplying one with the motor?
