I bought this servo for a 1/10 rc car but I am not satisfied.
Power and speed are as in the description but when it rotates slowly it shakes and after a few minutes of light use it warms up slightly.
I have at least 10 servos from 4 different brands that are more and less powerful or faster than this one but none of them shake or get hot after a few minutes.
Maybe it is faulty? Maybe it is not suitable for my receiver (Flysky FGr4S)? I don't know.

I bought these to put in a Mick Reeves Gangster Lite as I wanted digital servos without paying the earth for them. I found these on the HK website and having used Corona rc products previously, decided to buy. These are well made powerful units with metal gearing and metal casing. Ideal for my purpose and fairly quiet in operation. Very pleased.

Quality of fittings provided leave doubts about reliabilty

1. The DS-538MG servos all appear to work OK. However, I have yet to use them in flight, so a comment about reliability would be premature. Control arms. Oh, that should not be plural. The single and solitary control arm supplied does not appear to be adequately strong enough or big enough for a 7kg servo, so I have resorted to more robust arms from my box of bits. Mounting hardware was totally inadequate and appears to have been sourced from Dubro's “Small Servo Mounting Hardware kit”, The brass ferrules only go half way through the mounting rubbers – this means that the puny little screws cannot be tightened properly, as all they do is squash the rubber vibration absorbers. The mounting screws are disturbingly small and unsuited to anchoring such a powerful servo. and were discarded. This meant another dive into the bits box was required, looking for more manly servo mounting screws.. What happened to the notion of providing “fit for purpose” control arms and mounting hardware like in the old days? This is all quite disappointing. I hope that the same penny pinching attitude does not apply to the insides of the servo itself as the longevity of my new 11kg aircraft is at stake. I may have made a bad call buying these servos.
2. The box: Purportedly shows views of the DS-538MG 7kg servo actual size. Not true. The diagrams are about 75% full size. But there's more; The box lid picture, a plan view of the servo, shows 2 mounting screws. Wrong. There are 4 mounting screws. Oh dear.

Good servo. Bad service

I bought five of these for a new model. Four seem very good - fast and powerful. One didn't work so I asked for a replacement. I am still waiting after several months. There is a delivery charge shown against the order, which I don't understand.
