I bought in April 2015.
July 16, 2013 made and I had entered.
Where arrived cyclone even Kevlar was not used.
2.4ghz friendly, the carbon four stripes about 5 mm of fiberglass only
If power is required, it was a shame because become the weakest part.
I was forced to reinforce yourself.

Hi Folks, I have at last flown the Cyclone, and it's everything the writeup says. I had 40kmh wind and a great deal of turbulence, but the Cyclone went straight and hard right from the launch. Just perfect in every way, was delightful! Yes, the fuselage was too small for the motor, so I enlarged the diameter, and then had to add lead to the tail to get the correct CG. It proved to be worthwhile. Well done Hobby King.

Perfect litle plane with amazing Performance. Put a HK 28mm inrunner with Raisenauer 1:5 reduction gear and 16x8 carbon folding prop as well from HK. Glieder goes fully vertical with 800W power under 4S 1800mAh nano tech. Decided to place the Elevator servo (Turnigy S712G 10mm full metal) in the tail to gain space in the small compartment to place properly the Receiver. Ailerons and flaps as well driven by TGY-S712G. ESC is a YEP45.
Despit 1.9kg flying weight, the gliding Performance is surprisingly well and with some full span flaps down is remarkable in Thermal flying.
HK kits seems slightly heavier than original RCRCM Version.
Very happy with this plane and will buy it surely again in case of any model loss.
Have fun with this small rocket.

I have at last completed the Cyclone E, and I am thrilled. I cut the nose so that I could open it to fit the DT38 motor. I had to make some holes in the fuse to allow the Rx antennae out the side, and also pull the Rx just behind the trailing edge. The ESC fits in fron of this, then the battery has to be pushed as far back as possible. With all of this done, I still have to add 80grams of lead to the tail to get the CG right.The motor has so much thrust, that when I hold the model vertical, it just wants to go up...Can't wait to give it some air. Roy Halle.

My Cyclone arrived today and the finish is awsome, however the recomended motor DT38 620KV is to fat and simply will not fit inside the fuselage, so I wasted my money on the motor and speed controller

Max motor diameter: the nose has a tapered shape: inside diameter in the front: 33mm , 1,5 cm to the back diameter is just over 35mm and 6cm more to the back the diameter is almost 38mm

The plane looks very very nice!
It's my first all moulded composite plane so I can't realy judge, but I think it's not an A-product. There are some spots where the paint was 'repaired' afterwards, which is a pitty as it is clearly noticable (dull and not so smooth spots) on the otherwise awsome paintjob.
The motor mount has to be glued in (no clue on downthrust in manual) and also the controlhorns of all the surfaces have to be glued in. For this you also need to take your Dremel to cut a small piece of the aileron/flap/rudder spar to make the horn fit. Also some Dremel-work needed to make the linkages go trough (for aileron and flaps) to the servo bay in the wing. Some more Dremeling needed in the servo-bay for the controlrods to pass to the elevator and rudder.
I managed to mount the Turnigy G15-810 motor (little mod on the wires and a little sanding inside the nose of the fuselage) and plan to use 4S 2550 40C lipo with a 13x8 or 12x10 prop.
There is a mistake in the description. Max battery size is more like 35x32mm. The fuselage cross-section measures 46mm high x 38mm wide (oval shape) The canopy opening is 200mm long and 34mm wide.

Spar control rods: 57g

Der Cyclone ist super verarbeitet.
Spinner Durchmsser von 35mm langt.
Prop 12x6 ist ebenfalls ok
Vorsicht... beim Servoeinbau net die Finger brechen...
