The Dancing Wings Hobby Fokker Eindecker III is a scale model of the famous World War 1 monoplane fighter. The kit comes almost ready to fly and is constructed in balsa for a strong, lightweight, authentic structure. A lot of scale detail is supplied including, a dummy engine, scale wheels, and a dummy machine gun, plus a full accessory kit is also supplied which includes all the necessary hardware including scale rigging to complete the kit.
The full-size Fokker Eindecker was developed near the start of WW1 and was the first purpose-built German fighter and the first to be fitted with a synchronized machine gun to fire through the propeller's arc. The Eindecker gave the German Army's Air Service a degree of air superiority from early 1915 until 1916. So much so that Allied aircraft became known as "Fokker Fodder" due to the ease with which the Germans shot them down.
The Dancings Wings Hobby Eindecker is very straightforward to assemble but will require some previous experience. All the major components such as the fuselage, wings, horizontal stab, and rudder are built and covered, and the decals have been factory-applied. You must supply your own brushless motor, ESC, servos, transmitter, receiver, and a LiPo battery. You will also require some tools and glue to complete the build.
