This is NOT a Female Mini Tamiya connector, it is Male.

Note that although the polarity was correct in my order (square-positive), these are NOT female Tamiya plugs, they are male. The gender should be based on the metal parts, not the plastic parts.
Examples to show that this is the case:
"In electrical and electronics engineering, the convention is that gender refers to the metal contact parts of a connector in order to avoid ambiguity. A large number of hobbyist retailers selling these connectors refer to the gender of the plastic housing, which is against convention and can lead to errors.

I use this to run the batteries for my FPV racing quad on my AR.Drone because the stock Parrot batteries are overpriced, and the cheap Amazon/eBay batteries are bad quality; but the Zippy packs I use for my racing quad are a great value.

Battery max size

I used to zippy flightmax 1300mah 2s1p 20C.
No problem working.
But need this- tamiya mini connector or trans connector.

Perfect! Everything is fine! No Problem with reversed cables! Works well in the AR Drone V1 and V2. Now you can use high quality aftermarket batteries with XT60 plug and no need for cutting the DC cable (loosing the warranty) on the AR Drone! GREAT!!

The ones I got were reversed polarity! Got very very lucky when I used them for my LiPo!!
Before you use them make sure to verify polarity or you may not get as lucky and injure yourself.
