You need this part! The bottom takes a beating from rocks and other stuff. When doing maintenance and when you take off your front drivetrain regularly, you notice each time the screws digg in deeper and deeper, I mean the four holes on the front of the picture. They widen. Just to be safe, get some of these. Also, and that is really important, part of your suspension connects to this and it's a vital component that contributes to the strength of the suspension. I have already had the screws ripped out of the turnbuckles in a crash. Had that not happened, it would have broken my suspension-arms.
