Theres not much more I can add to the huge amount of information and rave reviews about this product apart from confirm for you that they are correct.

This is just as good as they say, better features than i expected, high quality hardware and construction and delivered safely without any dings or marks.

This is now my main go-to TX for everything, my tricked 9x now takes the 'backup only' role.

Seriously, this product deserves 10 stars out of 5, especially at this price :-)

Arrived in 7 days from HK to Aus, not bad, pity the packaging was minimal and it arrived with the case damaged and missing keys. Other than that its fantastic and only took me 5 minutes to configure it for use with a FPV250 with Naze32. Cant wait to configure it for all my other aircraft !!

After some waiting time mine has also arrived, and yes, waiting has worth it.
I belive that, right now, you wont get other Radio for such value for your money, I just can say, incredible.
I ordered Mode 1 version, because that was the only one available at the moment. Dont be afraid if you have to convert it from one mode into the other, its very very easy to be done.
Despite all you know regarding programming Radios you have had learned before, but once used to it, you will find out how easy it really is.
Once ordered, I have preprogammed the Taranis meanwhile the real one was on its way to me, and once arrived I just have made some small adjustments and went flying, awsome!
In any case of doubts I had, just checked the Internet, and I found a lot of helping threads and also very nice tutorials on Youtube.
Regarding build quality I just can compare to my club mates radios, they use Graupner, MPX, Hitec, and there is nothing to complain about.
And of course, I would highly recommend the Taranis.

The speaker suxx...the sliders suxx, but the rest works gr8. Would i buy again...yes.
Wont say that it worth changing from the er9x to this unless you GOT TO HAVE that voice thing and rssi with a voice calling out the strength numbers...recomend waiting until they learn to tighten some screws and make it perfect...

I just received my transmitter the other day turned it on and noticed the rudder trim didn't work. I had to open the case to change transmitter to mode 2 anyway so I took the trim board out and noticed it had a bad solder joint on the trim plug. solder was missing on the center lug. I soldered it up and now everything seems to be working fine. I'm just glad I saved time money and aggravation by not sending it back for repair or replacement.

Some suggest this is a hard radio to master. I disagree. You just have to (1) forget any programmable radio you have had before.

To put it simply, unlike other radios where you select programming (like elevons), nothing is presumed. You have up to 32 channels. You decide what behavior you want on a channel, and based what input(s), and throw that into the mix for that channel. So, if you want channel 18 to be controlled by the right slider, at 100pcnt, then the mix is RS 100pcnt. And you can combine mixes on any channel (I have 5 or 6 on some of mine that are conditional). The radio enables you to tell every servo or ESC exactly what you want it to do and how - it does not stand between you and the servos with reprogrammed mixes that may or may not work for your application.

Yes, there are curves, flight modes, custom software switches, custom functions, sounds, telemetry, and more (and still more on the way) - but you only have to use the bits you need - you do not have to learn it all at once. And, oft-times, there are multiple ways to accomplish your goal.

Best part is, the Companion software for OpenTX (which is free) lets you play with the programming on your computer before you buy the radio, and any mixes you come up with can be transferred into the radio directly. Scott Page has also done some wonderful instructional videos.

Taranis is amazing, so many functions so many features.Its gonna take some time , although its laid out logically which helps.Wish I had a explanation of what the menu functions do. Would I be correct in assuming that if used on for example a giant scale plane where you had to use a "match box" to sync servos on the control surface , with the taranis 16ch system you dont need a matchbox because you can set each servo's travell limit,midpoint, on the tx individually?
