Get ready to be bitten by the Rattler! The H-King Rattler 1/8 4WD Buggy is a fantastic value for money 1/8 basher for anyone who wants some land-based fun. Because everything is so super simple on this buggy it will take a lickin' and come out kickin' for hours and hours. It is made from lightweight fiber reinforced plastics which make it quick off the mark and able to handle the rigors of even the most enthusiastic basher.

There are so many quality features on this buggy we couldn't believe the price ourselves; not only is it strong but it has metal gear diffs front, centre and rear, pivot ball suspension all round, threaded adjustable oil filled shocks, a dust-proof receiver box that also houses the ESC and servo to help keep your electronics in tip-top condition and even a steel spur gear.

With its soft thick pin tyres, this buggy is made for the dirt or grass surfaces you find in parks or vacant blocks of land. If you've got a patch of grass or dirt nearby and your into fast fun with a few bumps and jumps thrown in for laughs then this is the buggy for you.

Rattler Parts not availiable

This is a great rc car for the money until you break something on it and cannot get parts for it. My granddaughter crashed it and broke the left front wheel suspension, and to this day I cannot find parts. Pillow ball, discontinued.

I love this car, it's great... resilient, tough... fast as you can handle, I'm about to get my 3rd and upgrade is easy to 4cells. If you like a car that runs at the peak and depends on the driver to keep it together..this it!

This is by far the best value of any 'speedster' I own, solid and durable... inexpensive to repair! And you really have to slam into something to do any damage which I have done repeatedly... one of my most fun cars! Thanks HobbyKing!

Hobbyking Rattler buggy

Bouht this as an 'impulse buy' and so glad I did. Really fast on 3s (almost impossible round my local off-road track) but brilliantly manageable on 2s. Seems very strong and spares are cheap. The only gripe I have is that I ordered an extra set of wheels/tyres for about £10 but they cost a further £10 to come from China. Other than that it's great buy.

no parts support

i brought 3 of these 3 weeks ago for my grandsons and all 3 are now on the shelf waiting for parts to become available one has lost a dog bone and h-king web site says out of stock totally and so a lot have been saying have been out of stock for months so not good how h-king are selling rc cars with out parts support esc is not good for 3s it gets way to hot and shuts down very quick but is very good on 2s could do with a heat sink with fan
the saying go's buy cheep buy twice

Very nice for it's money. Just by adding a powerfull 30mm fan to the electronics box the esc isn't going on high temp cutoff, which is quite ok for 32C ambient temperature. I use it with a 3S batt and it's surprisingly powerfull. Mine also was not breaking by default and the manual H.King posted isn't working for the V2 ESC. But now it seems that many parts aren't available and I'm not talking about stock. It seems they removed completely the dogbones and tires from the site. So if it breaks or wears out its tires it goes on the shelf.
While good little buggy I cannot recomend it until it gets proper esc with manual for the 3S it is supposedly made for and parts availability cause it's an RC, you need parts to keep it running.

V2 with 60A ESC

the new ESC is a box....withour fan!
its get hot very fast and easily on 3S, so does the motor as well. in 3S the speed is insane!
i will try it on 2S also and repost, however i already order a nes hobbuwing 60A Waterproof esc so that i dont have to worry about smokes :-)

I'm impressed by the hardware. However, a manual for the ESC would be required, as the break is by its default setting almost not working. I figured out how to readjust, now its breaking well. However, it would be nice to also program the remaining parameter such as punch etc.
