I have build it, I like it

I build it in 5 hours, using 5 min epoxy. It is manageable in this time. I do use the G-RX8 of FrSky, and it runs on 1S with no volt converter, that is fine. the 500 mah Lipos I bought in advance are 18 gr., I need 36 to 38 gr. in nose to have it level on the spare. I Order 1200 mah lips to have the CG right in Future. Meanwhile I store two packs 500 in the nose for CG.
Outside it's raining. looking to have her Maiden, soon.

Many Ups and little Downs

A great, inexpensive DLG, but not perfect.
First of all, it's definitely not a PNP. It took me about 3 evenings to put everything together. 30mins as stated in the description is just wrong. Yet alone the epoxy to join the wings takes 24h to cure.
Quality:
The hinge for the aileron is very stiff. I removed it and used clear tape as hinge. The strings for elevator and rudder are also just regular fabric thread. I replaced it with 0.3mm steel wire.
But besides that, it is a good, solid built plane. Fuselage and boom fit together nicely. The wing seems to be a very solid design. I crashed mine into a tree and it did not suffer any major damage. Long term quality will show after the first season.
In-Flight:
The Raven 1500 flies really nice and gently. Nothing wild or dangerous. With a good throw you can get it up to 20-30 m. It picks up ridge lift or thermals well. Of course you can not compare it to some 600+ $ full composite DLG, but it will give a good start to the DLG scene. I had some 30+ min flights in ridge lift and thermals and I really like the calm behaviour. You can centre thermals with ease and gain altitude fast. Landing is also no problem, once you get used to it you can also catch it by hand.
Overall:
The Raven 1500 is a great plane to get started with DLG. It has some minor downsides but they are either easy to fix or acceptable for that price. Overall value is also good. I don't think you can get a much cheaper, full grown 1.5 m DLG. Although I've flown it only a couple of hours, I already really like the Raven.

If you use strings you may want to get strong strings. The manual seemed a little incomplete and the pictures did not have enough detail so I took away one star. For some one that has never really assembled pull strings. I couldn't really tell how to do it from the manual. I just had an idea of what would probably work. lol

Nice flying glider, but certainly not a PnP

Not having much time to build anything I got this because it said it was PnP.
It is not quite.
Once built though it is a very nice fling glider. There is no mention anywhere of a CG position so I went for ~30% chord to start with. It launches nicely, I'm no expert at DLG launching yet managed some to get some respectable heights. It glides well too. You can tell it won't take much lift to keep this airborne!
I'm going to swap my receiver for a lighter version and may also go for a smaller Rx battery to see if the CG can come further back.
I guess after the frustration of having to build it I've finally got to like it

Floaty & fun.

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get a full 1.5m dlg for a low price. Flys and floats very well.I would recommend to remove all the decals before flying if you want to keep it light. You might also want to cut a little from the back of the pod so the boom can fit better.

Floaty & fun.

I have nothing but good things to say about this plane :). The quality was great everything came as it looked from the pictures and the build was pretty easy too but you have to do some sanding on the pod so the boom fits into place. I removed all the decals including the white covering that was on the wing and elevator to keep it light.Took her on a flight this morning with winds around 10-15 mph and she seemed very floaty and stable. I would say on a good Calm warm day she would have no problems riding thermals. My Launches where mild since the wing is made from balsa. I wouldn't recommenced doing hard launches as you would see from a carbon DLG. Anyway Just my 2 cents. Would definitely recommend this plane to any body who wants an affordable 1.5 DLG. For this price and performance its a steal!

The quality is good, flight was very beautiful ,but be careful not to throw too hard, after throwing it about 40-50 times I broke the wing on the last throw.
