BOUGHT MINE LAST YEAR . GOT BOARD PUT IT TOGETHER THIS YEAR IN JULY. AWSOME MACHINE FLY"S GREAT JUST AS GOOD AS MY CNC BLUE RAY. HAVE A EXCEED 400 MOTER 12 TOOTH PINION 1800 MIL BATTERY 50 -60 AMP SPEED CONTROL / LITTLE OVER KILL BUT THAT IS WHAT I HAD ON MY SHELF TO USE. GYRO CONTROL JUST ONE OF THOSE HK $5.00 ONES WORKS WELL. SERVOS THOSE TG 9G WORKS GREAT. NOTHING GREAT SPENDING BUT FOR THE PRICE YOU CANT BEAT IT THANKS HOBBY CITY

This like the best helicopter for the people who has experience why because I crash mine and all I broke is the top part of the head bent the boom and lost some parts but since I'm a noob and don't know how to crash a helicopter safely, I did a little more damage then expected or it just by bad luck. but all in all this is one of the best helicopter you can buy, it worth the value and it was an simple build.

When are you getting some more of these in stock. I am desperate to build a few more for friends.

This kit is amazing. Had mine for over a year now (paid a bit more back then but still only about $27).
Built it using all the very basic cheap kit:
Basic Kit $10
Towerpro 40A ESC $10
Turnigy 3700Kv motor $10
HXT900 servos (4 x $2.7) $11
HK 6ch TX/RX kit $23
2200mAh lipo $9
Fiberglass blades $4
Canopy $1
Screws $2
Total $80 (complete ready to fly solution!!!!)

It flies very well from my experience. I had never flown a helicopter before, so I have learn't on this kit. So far I have managed to crash a few times and easily repaired it with a bit of super glue and pliers/vice for straightening shafts and flybars.

At this price anyone can get into the hobby without being scared of wasting money by crashing.

There are a few very good videos on youtube on how to build this heli and a great PDF manual in the net on building it with the HK 6ch TX/RX solution.

Superb HobbyKing, I'm hooked on RC models now.

Almost impossible for a beginner will be able to fly this heli.
An expert definitely want something better.
I suggest you do not throw your money, does not even spare parts such as poor quality.

simply awesome helicoper for training new manouvers, im in process of applying my skills from sim to real thing but this thing does the job perfect, ofc ill need alloy to do it fast and furios rather than slow. also note that i use hk401 gyro. hk does it best, ty hk :)

wow this is a great price on a great heli i bought one just to have a back up and now many of my frends have bought this one once they have seen it the quality is great only thing i had to change were the screws they were a little week but other than that this is a good way to get into the heli hobby and not break the bank by shopping at hk you can have a rx ready heli for about 80 us dollers and a rtf heli at about 140us dollers way to go hk bring the hobby to the masses!!!!

Excellent value for money for a first 450.

Great for flying in a sports hall, but 2 and have one for spares.

One dangerous issue on the two I bought is the two long linkage ends catch the swashplate and could cause a crash. Either replace with a metal swashplate or buy some better/smaller ends from another manufacturer as the ones that came with the kit are very bulky with very square edges..

Having previously been pleasantly surprised by the 450 CCPM GT and Pro TT kits, I bought this one just for parts: at ten bucks you simply can't go wrong. It turned up today, and again: a very pleasant surprise, and a very worthy source of spares (including a full pre-assembled head and nicely done frame.) In fact, the temptation to actually build it might yet prove too great! Yes, all the comments about inferior quality super-soft screws are justified, and replacing them certainly makes sense, but otherwise: an absolute bargain. No wonder it's out of stock so often! (Mine even came with an assembly manual - I never got one of those with the more expensive brethren!
