would be nice to have the plastic version base plate wich is not in the spare list of the HK500GT.. but i think this metal version will be more strong.

Sehr gutes Tuning fr den Align T-Rex 500. Ist wesentlich gnstiger als das Original, das zudem noch aus Kunststoff ist.

I switched over to the metal bottom on one of my 500's last year and it seems to to be strong enough even though it is in three pieces.

Down side is the groove for the canopy seems to wear thin may want to add thin foam to canopy edge.

I don't like the 3 piece design. Wish it were one piece like the KDE upgrade. I added an old aluminum hex bolt (that goes inside the tail) to stiffen up the bottom of the frame where there is no metal. Overall a good upgrade though. They hold up well to crashes that would normally break the landing gear mount area.

This purchase is my 2nd this time for my carbon fibreframe. This and the other aluminium brackets really finish off the 500's to a better standard. The original plastic baseplates will rip the landing gear mounts off if crashed hard, these do not and allow for easier removal and reasssembly if you do crash
