I found out that the promised output power of 100mW is not true.
I bought two sets (4 radios) and 3 of them have only 50pcnt (50mW) max. output and one 80pcnt.
I set the output power to max and measured.
So it seems you have to be lucky to get one of the better ones with at least acceptable 80pcnt output power.
I'm disappointed and this is not what I payed for.
After sending them back I got replacements, but it was the same, around 50pcnt output power so only half the range its suppose to have.

WARNING !!!

Its not working, seems its may work on some installations, and other it does not. As long as HK is not providing any instructions stay away from it as it may be a waste of Money. The Modules do connect to each other, but they do not transmit any data.

Very nice product. Steal deal for the price. Comes with casings, antennae and all cables and even a double sided mounting tape! However there may be issues installing these and running them with Mission Planner (v. 1.3.7 is what I use).

My initial connection failed and I had to install FTDI drivers (http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Documents/InstallGuides.htm) for WIN7 (Have also uploaded them). It then showed up on COM14 port and connected flawlessly. I now get live feed from my air module to ground. However, when I try to load settings or upload firmware, Mission Planner says "Failed to identify radio" or just "Failed". This is a big drawback as I cannot edit settings for the radio. However, do not worry, you can still fly with the radio! Would be good if HK uploaded help files for these radios, especially for newbies like me.

Will try to resolve it, and will post more on range checks later.
