Print incredible structures and 3D projects with HobbyKing's own range of PLA filament. If you're new to using PLA, you'll find it easier to print thanks to having a lower melting point.

One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic with an extremely high printing resolution. . PLA has a low shrinkage rate and is very rigid with minimal flex. While PLA is considered stronger than ABS it is more susceptible to cracking when subjected to flexing, therefore you will need to consider if the filament is right for the mechanical needs of the print project.

A great material for 3D printing, PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead and can stick to glass or a PCB plate using a binder such as hairspray or white glue. These simple binding agents will help achieve a curl free print.

3D printing is a fun and exciting hobby with a wide range of uses from prototyping parts to making toys for the kids. Picking the right filament for your application is very important. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

Very good value and a lot less than other brands of PLA. Nice colour and stays the same colour after extrusion. Good temperature range, did not see much difference from 195 to 220 degrees. Came with a desiccation packet (silica I presume) but would have liked a nice vacuum sealed wrapper instead of just a thin plastic wrapper which was not airtight. The reels have a couple of places to hold end of filament when changing to another colour.

Not as good as it used to be.

I used to like the Hobby King filaments but there seems to be a change in the overall quality of filament. Also the esun PLA filament is no longer available I'm probably going to buy from Amazon. Such a shame hobby King, you used to be my number one source for filament.
