This a great model on opening the box every thing was good well packed and no damage, On the assembly side the model went together easy although the air frame was sliver I repainted it in olive drab the silver was a good base for the new paint and D-Day stripes to finnish it looks good , First flight was a little tale heavy as I set the C&G as recommended position , Second flight was more stable as I pushed the battery right forward as far as it would go this was much better, On the third fight I put a 5000 four cell in and set the battery right forward again this flight was good and I was very happy with this purches well done HK

Good points: Good build quality and flying characteristics,:
Bad points: Poor stickers - keeps peeling off, only came with one set and both included props exploded as soon as throttle was advanced.

Double trouble fun!!

If the finish on this air frame was that of the sky-sword. I would rate it 5 stars. But I guess as the air frame is a 40's design and the scale details are important. It does have its limits. However if the finish could have equaled the Sky-sword. The only words would be WOW.... I am partial to twin propulsion. So this what grabbed my interest.

Unfortunately, the foam material, and build quality of this DC-3 is very poor. Everything seems shoddy - the paint peels off just looking at it!
I know the price is faily cheap, but it is still not worth that price. Not sure how it will fly - haven't tried that.

A Good value Dak

Over a good model, easy to put together and fly's well. Only a couple of points to note. No control throws details in the manual and no response from HK to the question.
As it's old stock no spares like props available. Silver paint good from customising but paint pull off very very easily

Not a good flyer

The DC-3 is a lot of plane for the money. It has nice scale detail, although the decals are quite flimsy. When you hit the runway for the first time, that's when the bad surprise happens, it has a bad left wing stall tendency. If your not careful with the take off speed, it will flip over just after lift off. Similarly in the sky a left turn at too lower speed will produce a tip stall. Be careful with this plane. Certainly not a docile easy to fly bird.
