Haven't had a try of this yet but have heard that they are pretty damn good.

I only bought this because there was a sale on and I'm only writing this review because I want the extra points before HobbyKing removes it from my review list : )

Ok, let's not beat around the bush. They are a cheap board - but be aware, these are not Rolf KK boards, these are Hextronix boards, they are not cut very well, I just bought 3 and all of them the components are soldered offset to one another - eg, not one is identical. I was much happier with the official KK2.0 board - which can easily be identified by Rolfe's name on the back of the board. If they are made by the same mob, then please up your quality control!

Definitely a good upgrade from a KK2.0. stable flight straight out of the box the default settings. If you are a beginner it is worth while flashing it with the most current beginners firmware.

exelente tarjeta muy fcil de configurar y muy estable con el flash de simon k 1.12s biginer , la monte en un tricopter y funciona de mil maravillas y con el self level hago fpv bastante confiado

Absolute rock solid performance! I have this on a HK X550 frame, works superbly and so easy to use. Highly recommended for all experience levels. The back-lit display is a great bonus as well.

Good board, You NEED TO UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE! the stock 1.5 is not good! with steveis, and simonk escs, it is rock solid!

This is a wonderful controller up until the point you accidentally destroy it by trying to use the Voltage Monitor. The connector's polarity isn't mentioned on the topside where it would be seen, but on the backside which you will only ever see after you've blown up your board and removed it from your copter. The general convention for the polarity of connectors on flight controllers has been to have negative be towards the board's edge. This is not the case with the KK2.1. Be warned.

Otherwise I had excellent flights without even having to do any tuning (I was going to get to it eventually to make it perfect but I destroyed it before I could get to it).

After reading through forum posts (where quite a few suffered the same fate as me), I see some suggestions:
1) Don't bother with on-board Low Voltage Alarm, it's not very loud. Use an external one instead.
2) Only use a 1-wire lead for the positive only (do not send negative) or snip off negative board terminal.

The text would not show up on my KK 2.1 board, but Hobby King was awesome enough to give me a credit!! I'm very happy with customer service and I'm excited to try this board out once again.
